Date people from United States. I don't really expect that we can get to know one another by reading profiles, that's something that has to be earned and takes time shared together. I am a big believer in actions over words. That said... I'll go along with the program and do my best to let you know a few things about me.
I have a pretty wide variety of interests, I am perpetually curious about the world, enjoy being creative, reading, discovery, learning. I try to be a chameleon... adapt to and make the best of any place or situation I am in. I love my home/where I live, but also exploring new places, trying new restaurants, foods. I've been fortunate to have traveled quite a bit off the beaten path for work and play- and of course would love to see more. I try to be outside and active daily- I am a much happier person when I am. Put me on or near the water and I am content... feel most myself. I love to surf, sail, SUP, dive, paddle outrigger... soak my feet in the ocean on a walk or run. I have enjoyed a long career which I looked forward to getting up to do every day and that has also allowed me to help others. I recently started another adventure which is enriching in other ways, and leaves a positive mark as well.
I am very aware that I'm fortunate in many ways and thankful to have had an interesting, contented and very full life, but I also know that it is ultimately most fulfilling to have a special someone in our lives with whom we can share it all with. I think an ideal relationship isn't about someone completing me, or making up for a lack in my life... or me someone else. I would hope that its more about sharing, making the good even better and the difficult easier. Life is not always perfect, so it is nice to have a team mate in your corner. Someone to love, respect, trust, and vice-versa... a best friend and... if I can say so... I think I am a good one. I am definitely a one woman man... not really wired to play the field or play games. I am far from a saint and I'm not looking for one, but it is important that the "someone" is genuine and open... true to themselves. A passion for something/anything... for life in general is attractive- brings a spark. Compassionate and kind towards other people is a must... intelligence sure doesn't hurt. Obnoxious lists aside, the most difficult part is finding someone with a similar attitude/outlook about how to live a life, who has similar priorities combined with that elusive thing/whatever the heck it is that makes for good chemistry.
I've got no great answers here, so I am just going to stick with my formula: being open, leaving more than I take, doing things I love and have a passion for, surrounding myself with family/good friends, treating money as a means- not the end, not taking myself or life too seriously ( but working hard )... trusting my heart and using my brain... and not being afraid of taking risks in all aspects of my life. I've found that when I live that way, things seem to turn out pretty good in the end.

I have my age at 46 for the searches as my lifestyle fits better with this age group, having a small child and still lots of energy, but I am actually 51
I have been on my own since I was 16 and although I am well educated, I have learned most of my truly useful talents through the experience of meeting daily challenges with positive creativity! As a result, I am hard working and I don't take anyone or anything for granted.
I am an intermediate with activities and try new things with enthusiasm.
I love my daughter. She is amazing. I am grateful for her every day. I am content by myself raising my little girl! But I'm happiest, most productive and even a better parent when I'm in a good relationship.
