Meet men and women from California, United States. Hi. I’m a lifelong Bay Area resident, mostly on the Peninsula. Lately, I think I have been spending too much time at work and not stopping to enjoy the experiences life has to offer and the company of friends. Meeting people the traditional way has been difficult; thus, here I am.
The lady I’d like to meet would be smart, but modest. She would have a great sense of humor, not be easily offended. She would be at home dressing up for a night out or going casual for a movie or ballgame. Compassion and generosity are two traits that are also especially valued. I think the most ideal way to see if you match up with someone is to see if you can be friends first. In that way, the first meeting is low (or lower) pressure. If there is something there, a spark, fantastic. If not, and you end up with a good friend, I think that’s great also.
About my personality, I would say that I’m easy to get along with, loyal to friends and family. When meeting people for the first time, I usually like to get a feel for the other person before I open up. If I connect with a person, usually because we have the same sense of humor, then I can be witty, sarcastic, a little off-the-wall. And if I really hit it off with someone, you might have to hit me over the head to shut me up! But, I think I can also be smart – I know a little about a lot of things.
When I’m not working, I like to catch a movie, enjoy local restaurants. I play tourist in San Francisco from time to time; visiting the Academy of Sciences, the De Young, or SFMOMA for example. Sometimes, I’ll just walk around the neighborhoods of the City just to see what there is to see: architecture, people, etc. Watching local sports teams live is something I really enjoy: football, but most especially baseball (Giants) and ice hockey – watching a Giants game under the warm weekend sun is the best. I occasionally hike; not enough the past few months because of work, but I hope to change that. I often do these things alone and am fine with that, but I think that it’d be cool to have a partner along for the ride these days.
A few years back I took up painting and painted some minor works, then stopped. But, recently I’ve enrolled in a drawing class to see if I have some talent hidden in here somewhere! So, if you have an interest in art, I know a little about that.
