First off - I have to let you know that I'm not a San Diego native - I grew up in the midwest actually; the reason I mention this is that I believe that it helped shaped who I am - such as my character traits and outlook on life.
My free time seems to be spent on a few different things - enjoying the company of friends, usually with good music and wine, the occasional concert, enjoying the outdoors - hiking somewhere scenic and kayaking La Jolla cove are two favs, or just kickin' back at home finishing off some household project, grabbing an acoustic guitar, or polishing off a few chapters of the latest book I'm reading.
I always get some snowboard time in at Mammoth and/or Tahoe every winter, but getting some more travel in during the rest of the year is at the top of my wishlist.
I believe in taking care of oneself, and work out daily. I indulge on occasion, but definitely believe in keeping in shape. Always love to learn new things - especially from others, and exploring new places - especially with the right company.
I believe in treating others as you'd want to be treated. My friends would describe me as helpful, smart, handy, loyal, trustworthy, knowledgeable, and centered. I have certain expectations of myself to have certain guy skills - be able to fix things around the house, troubleshoot a car when it's not working, know the way around in the outdoors, etc.
I'm looking for someone who knows how to enjoy things, while also planning a bit for tomorrow, is self-confident, and can take what life throws at us in stride. I also think that a kind heart and a great personality are far more captivating than almost anything else.
I spent the high school years in the Los Angeles area, came to San Diego for college and have been here ever since - I'm glad to have discovered this town and won't be leaving anytime soon!
Professionally, I'm a Project Manager for a Research lab; I graduated with an engineering degree from UC San Diego and picked up a Master's in Systems Engineering from the Naval Postgraduate School along the way. I enjoy what I do - not the perfect job, but close enough - especially since it lets me live comfortably in San Diego.
Having been in the work world for awhile now, I've achieved pretty much all I've set out to do and am looking for someone who wants to share life together.
