- Have had homes in London (close to tube station), Sydney (close to beach) and Cape Town (not too far from where two great oceans meet).

- To spite me, my ex got remarried, promptly had two children and then announced to the world I’m their godfather. Ahh, now, I’ve got baby-sitting duties while the two love birds enjoy romantic dinners. (That’s cool dude, I’ve been there. Besides, I do love your kids, so no worries :)

- I don’t own a Porsche, Lamborghini, or any car I have to grunt and groan while trying to exit. (Read: Don’t have the money.) Besides I’m too old, and I’d look goofy in one of them. Next thing I’d have a young blonde in the seat next to me, and seeing as I find woman my age far more sexy (usually making me blush, and go all �aw-shucks’ like, and look at my toes) that would be uncomfortable.
- Bob Marley is a favorite. So is…, uh, I forget her name. Perhaps it’s easier if I just told you I enjoy most genres of music, movies and mystery stories. But I choose not to watch FOX News. Seems to bother me that its Aussie owner is telling so many what to do :).
- My daughter was born on the same date as me. Same time.
- A few years ago I was a keynote speaker to an audience of Chinese Engineers in Guangzhou - through an interpreter - in a room without air-conditioning. A long day.
- I've parachuted at night, and spiders creep me out. So do over the top serious board meetings.

Certainly I’m serious when I say I believe in that rare, random and elusive thing – born in the brain and heart – which brings together two people's goals, flaws and foibles, memories, joys and superstitions, in an inexplicable and wonderful fit. I know it is impossible to manufacture. But it’s out there. And in time it comes. When it does, hooboy; get it right and suddenly food tastes better, colors become brighter, and life seems richer.
