Here’s a little bit about me… I have two amazing adult children, and wonderful friends who like to live, love and laugh as much as I do. I’m a glass-half-full person and my friends, family and colleagues know they can always count on me to be the not only the problem-solver, but the champion of the silver-lining. My dog, Nalu, has crossed the country with me several times and is one of the sweetest dogs ever. I’m a former marathoner and triathlete (mere-mortal, not Iron Man distances) and ran the Paris Marathon to celebrate my 50th birthday. In my younger days, I did some mountain and rock climbing, was a decent angler, and, while living in Hawaii, surfed at least once a year on Mother's Day. Growing up, some of my fondest memories are of time spent with my dad sailing, golfing and playing cribbage. I thoroughly enjoy listening to music of all types – classical, rock, jazz, opera – and can easily lose myself for a few hours in a great book. I love the arts, both visual and performing, and have often suspected that an undiscovered artist lives within me. I love to travel, whether it is to new destinations or old haunts. I lived in Hawaii for almost thirty years and have great aloha for the people and the Island culture. I then lived in Boston for four years, which was quite a change from Hawaii What a vibrant city, brimming with history, culture, intellectual stimulation, and, of course, my beloved Red Sox. However, it never really felt like home and we are continually reminded that life is too short not to be happy. So I moved to the Bay Area a year and a half ago and love it. There is so much to do and so many places to explore, and I've found that getting lost can be an adventure in itself. I don't take myself too seriously and find that having a sense of humor helps keep life real and laughing just feels good.
