Date people from United States. At this point in my life, I'm comfortable with myself and where I'm going. As I near retirement there are places to see.
My friends are important to me and I spend a fair amount of time start to think of the things I want to do then and the things I don't want to wait for. Travel is starting to top my list with destinations such as New Zealand, Hawaii, England and Ireland, Scandinavia, France and Italy. I also try to visit my own family as often as time permits so I can watch my nieces grow up.
I'm willing to try just about anything once. Enjoy many activities such as camping, street motorcycles, mountain bike, walking, photography and more. Also enjoy quiet evenings, walks on the beach, romantic comedies, country dancing, and more. I enjoy a country lifestyle, including horses, decor and cooking, but do not consider myself a cowboy.
I want to share my life with that special someone. I don't want to take control, but I don't want to give it up either; sharing control and where life takes us is a must. Someone whose not afraid to be themselves. Honesty is always a plus. Has good old fashioned values. Enjoys a variety of activities. Independent, but still wanting to share their lives. She must also have a similar set of values which might be considered old fashioned to some, too modern to others. She must be passionate, but also able to understand and respect another's point of view.
My sub-title comes from enjoying a country life style, but do not consider myself a cowboy.
Meet a woman from United States. Do good and Do well, I am happy, intuitive, insiteful, adventurous, resilient, discerning, healthy/health conscious, I believe one cannot give what one does not have. I am extroverted as well as introverted. I am looking for similarity in a partner. afterall, the whole point is to enjoy together. Characteristics I appreciate and want around me are kindness, happiness, respect, honesty, flexibility, compassion, intelligence, open-minded, good conversations ( politics, dinner recipes, heart to heart), manners, sincerity, doing your best, being your best and Scrabble with dictionaries. I do not believe in good enough; I believe in good.
I'm easy to be around and appreciate/accept plan A, plan B, or plan C. I am interesting and interested in just about everything. I guess one could call it couriosity. I am proud of my self, my charactor, and the abilities I've gleaned from adulthood....all of which affords me very comfortable/confident conversation with bankers, bikers, and people in Berkinstocks. ( Is that a "run-on" sentence?) Having traveled broadly in the Southern Hemisphere I maintain an active passport . One never knows what's around the corner, now does one? ******* Is there one out there that thinks like ( or similar to) me looking for someone like me ? I admire and appreciate competence.########## I'd like to comment on personhood. When you are your own person within a relationship, you can offer a partner a hand instead of just your needs. There is neither dependence nor independence but a balanced state of interdependence. I believe interdependence allows partners who are each capable of handling their own emotional lives to focus on meeting their own and each others ever-evolving goals and agendas in response to shifting circumsatances, rather than on keeping one another from falling apart. It is marked by flexibility and focuses on strengths. One could liken interdependence to (remember, I'm a nurse) the cells of an organism. Each cell functions individually, but they thrive best by relating to other cells in the context of the whole. A thought about intimacy....is that intimacy is greater than a matter of mechanics. It is looking in each others eyes and knowing trust . Be well.
