Date someone special from Alameda, United States. This is a little bit about me:
I am Passionate, strong, optimistic, humble, honest, caring, mature, goofball, open-minded, persistent. I believe anyone can reach any goal they put their mind no matter the obstacles. My family is very important to me as well as my friends. Although I am determined to reach my full potential in my career, I am also determined to live my personal life to the fullest. Whatever makes me laugh often and hard I'll enjoy, same goes with whatever I have fun with. I enjoy meeting new people and learning about different cultures. If I was rich, I would be backpacking right now somewhere in South America or Europe and traveling the world for months...one day ;). It makes me feel good when I help people out and making someone feel like someone does care. I believe that things happen for a reason, even when bad things happen, I believe good can come out of it.
Meet single man from Alameda, United States. I am the guy next door type - simple, down to earth, t-shirt and jeans, love to read and cook, like my job, close to my family, closer to my friends, enjoy good conversations, movies, spicy foods and people watching! As I grow older, I find my circle of friends getting smaller (they graduated, moved away or got married). I am up for meeting new people, trying something new, and in the process if something better comes along... well, that'd be just peachy!
I was 15 when I moved to California, and went to high school in San Jose. It was Davis after that for engineering but I went into teaching right after I finished. I was a special-ed math teacher for a few years, moving back to the Bay Area in 2006 and am now an administrator - having moved to the "dark side" 3 years ago!!
I love to travel and definite something I'd like to do more of in the future. I've been to Jamaica, Chile, Mexico, and time permitting a trip to Australia (hopefully) this year. I haven't been to Europe yet and would love to go to Spain some day. I've been back to India a few times since I moved to the US, and on my last trip I took some of my friends and traveled all over! Napa has been a frequent outing this past year. I also like to go camping - Yosemite is one of my favorite spots!
Though I work long hours every day, I like to get out and explore - anything from finding quirky places in SF to small weekend trips out of the bay!
Modesty and humility are two characteristics I aspire towards. I am not one to boast about personal accomplishments, and don't find it appealing when others do the same. A good sense of humor and care for others go a long way with me than titles attached to someone's name!
Date someone special from Alameda, United States. How do you write about yourself without sounding completely egotistical? Still trying to figure that out...
- I'm a Christian (not an "In your face" type) and I will only date a guy who is a Christian. Unfortunately, that rules out the majority of guys.
- I love baseball and go to lots of games. Go Giants. Go A's unless they are playing against the Giants.
- I love to cook (and eat).
- I am loyal to a fault.
- I sang the National Anthem at an A's game.
- I like being active and feeling healthy, but I do have a weakness for ice cream.
- You probably will never see me order just a salad when I'm out to eat (mostly because I can make it at home and I prefer to eat things that I can't make at home).
- I'm straightforward and very honest. Integrity means a lot to me.
- I performed in a Golden State Warriors Half Time Show.
- I'm approachable, quirky in a fun way and can definitely laugh at myself.
- On a flight, I sat across the aisle from Sarah Silverman. She was friendly (and she left a funny voicemail for Jimmy Kimmel).
- I am very easy to talk to and am not intimidating.
- I love to go out and have a good time.
- My sense of humor is wilty, sometimes sarcastic.
- I watched Matt Damon and Casey Affleck play blackjack at a Casino in Prague.
- I am happy with my life and am hoping to find someone to share my adventures. I'm fine going on them alone in the meantime.
I feel so blessed to live in one of the best places in the world. I love the bay area and exploring it. Even as a native, I don't believe I'll run out of things to do here and love finding new places to go and new things to do. I have lived in other places, but luckily have made my way back.
