I like to travel, but also enjoy home time. When I signed up for this I thought I was looking for a relationship with someone after my wife passed away.
I learned a lot about myself during these 3 months. I read all the interesting profiles of many beautiful and wonderful
women. But, then I realized that I was not even in touch with myself so how can I be looking for a relationship with someone else.
I realized that what I needed to do was to enjoy doing the things that i really enjoy and that would be part of my healing process.
Well it worked.
My wife and I always enjoyed Ballroom dancing over the years. We took lessons together and had many years of dancing together.
So after a few months of very emotional grieving I decided that the best thing for me would be to get more involved with my
dancing. So I joined a Dance studio in Thousand Oaks that is connected to the Cancer Wellness Center. The Studio is owned by Maria Durant and it's at www.dance4wellness.net
If you really enjoy dancing and are going thru a divorce, separation, or are widowed I recommend this highly for you.
If it's not you going thru this process you may have a friend, or family member, and I recommend this ...no matter the age.
It's an unbeleivable way to heal and learn some of the great dances while you're at it...The Waltz, The Fox Trot, the Hustle,
West coastSwing, East Coast Swing, Rumba, Salsa, Samba. Just go for it..Maybe I'll see you at the Studio.

PAST: Grew up in NYC, moved to S.F in the late 60's, married but divorced and still friends. Two great adult " kids". Brian finishing his English Literature PH.D thesis and Lisa married - Advertising exec with a two year old son. I worked in Corporate management for many years, launched my own management consulting practice, did a consulting tour with IBM, then retired three years ago. Taught MBA classes but not an egghead.
WHAT I LIKE: First the companionship and affection of a good woman. Nothing beat that. I Love dogs, but none now. Spent most of my adult life as a competitive power-lifter so fitness is still an important priority in my lifestyle. Love music, writing, playing guitar, had bands for many years, and play / enjoy jazz, blues, standards, classic rock, rockabilly, country, surf, and oldies. Good TV, movies, taking walks, bicycling, conversation, day trips, a drive in the country, and just being with a special lady ..that alone irrespective of any activity tops my list.

PRESENT: Very much enjoy being retired ... not always on the go nor a couch potato.
