I love my work. I to to yoga regularly. I've played acoustic guitar for 30 years. I love movies and it's all balanced out with my love for motorcycles, having ridden for the past 30 years. I stay engaged in what's going on in the world, for example,I read the newspaper everyday. Traditional politics don't excite me but policy conversation do particulalrly about the local and national issues of the day. I love going to the movies and enjoy anything from action to drama to art house films.
I am truly a glass half full kind of guy; I am an optimist and when I focus, I'm confident that I can acheive anything. I need humor and occassionally overdo it with puns. I am a romantic.
I like hanging out, eating out, good movies with fresh hot popcorn (home or theater), a clean house, great bbq (which I am very good at) and holding hands. I tell the truth and try to live with honesty and integrity. I am very even tempured.
I like to hang out and love to go out for coffee and conversation. I treat those I'm with very well and like to think of myself as generous of spirit. You will find me authentic and of substance. By the time you reach your 50's you know what you want. I believe it is still important to stay open and responsive. That's why I won't narrowly define my ideal women; sure we need to share common interests but it's more about the qualities she has and a willingness- indeed desire- and commitment to really be on each others' side.
If two people have that, there is less need for your partner to fit some sort of ideal mold because they have the most important of quality of a relationship, mutual support.

Meet men and women from California, United States. I'm not a prolific writer. I prefer to communicate verbally, in person. However, that's not possible right now, so I'll mention a couple of my interests here and we'll see what happens......
First, some basics -- I'm healthy and employed. I have all my original parts and they are in good working order. I am sane, with no chemical dependencies, (I drank enough in college for a lifetime). I think I am reasonably interesting, but not so interesting that I'm on death row, in a cult, or that my picture is posted in the US post office.
In the past, I lived for sports. I still enjoy exercising and playing sports, and although I am not nearly as passionate as I once was, I still try to exercise 4 to 5 times per week, and I generally eat healthy food.
I enjoy exploring The City, going to a Giants game, or hanging out at the ocean (Half Moon Bay or Santa Cruz). If it is raining or dark out, I like theatre, ballet, or live music. I also enjoy doing some volunteer work from time to time....
I have traveled quite a bit in the past, mostly for work, which has given me the opportunity to see many interesting places and meet many interesting people. I recently learned about Road Scholar Tours. According to their website you travel "alongside local and renowned experts, experience in-depth and behind-the-scenes learning opportunities, from cultural tours, to walking, biking and more." An educational trip to either Quebec, the Galapagos Islands, or Eastern Europe sounds interesting to me.
OK, now for a little meat (or tofu for the vegan crowd). Honesty and integrity are core values for me. Also, I am pretty even-tempered and practical.(most of the time). I look for similar qualities in my best friend. Beyond these I don’t think there is an exact mixture of similar and complementary attitudes and interests required….some of each are probably fine.
Lastly, although it was a while ago, I clearly remember the feeling of being in love. It is very special, and I would like to feel that way again.

In my youth I was a fairly good athlete Played Basketball, Baseball, Raquetball, Vollyball , Swimming, Skiing and most other sports.
