Date men and women from California, United States. Hey I am about 60. The pictures are recent. I love life and I am aging well as I don't yet yell at kids on my lawn.
Early this year I find myself a widow after 35 years of marriage. She was great for me. My wife died of cancer. I am grateful for all good things and learning to be grateful for everything brought into my life.
Professionally, I am a traveling lawyer and I bring comfort into people's lives doing that. Amazing, a lawyer that actually helps people. My clients are my advertising. Traveling with my dog also makes it interesting and makes the driving bearable. Sometimes when I visit a client, if they are dog people or have dogs, it makes a visit even more personal.
I am a Bible teacher. I have been doing this for about 12 years and I enjoy teaching a class of about 70 people and keeping them interested in that book. I think atheists are quite mistaken in how much of the vast entirety of knowledge there is. We only know a sliver, maybe Dawkins or Hawking know two slivers, but neither knows the whole tree that the two slivers came from. Some day I expect to know a lot more.
I don't have a lot of time for a social life or I have not learned how to do that yet, but I do enjoy going dancing (not the jump up and down stuff like you are hanging on to the edge of a crib jumping on a mattress, but the gliding kind of dancing...I took lessons for a while) and I am pretty confident I can make any partner look good on the dance floor. Of course I love going out to dinner or making fried rice at home (a new specialty). Perhaps a drive to a winery, perhaps a movie or a video at home...I am speculating here. I am open.
I love people that show gratitude and humility and know how to have healthy relationships with friends and family. I get that there are sometimes bumps in the road on that score.
I also enjoy people who know what they believe in and strive to live consistent with that belief. I enjoy people who know that this life on earth is temporary.
I love airplanes. My son gave me a remote controlled helicopter and it is great fun for me and my cats. Used to live in El Segundo when my daughter was born. I would take her for walks and look at the planes take off at LAX. I taught her the difference between the 727, 737, 747, 767 and the DC-9. Then Airbus started getting busy and it got more difficult.
I just bought INSANITY, that workout video. It was delivered a week or so ago...I have not opened it up yet. But I am looking at the box regularly. It has helped.
What I am looking for in a relationship? Right now...just a friend. Friendship comes first. Someone that has some wit, has perhaps an edge, is ready to talk about important things in the world, can defend their position and yet can give in when the evidence is there. This would be someone who knows how to agree and disagree with respect and then use their disagreements for humor purposes.
So anyway. That's a little about me. I am now bored talking about me. I have to get some billing done.

I retired early due to a serious motorcycle accident so now all I have is time. I don't get out except to go shopping or get fuel and then I am off riding my motorcycle. No, I did not give up riding and I still like to go fast. I don't take big risks any more. Sometimes an accident will change the way you think. Anyway, now that I have plenty of time on my hands I can actually have a relationship. A normal one anyway. I traveled with my job all of my life so relationships were difficult. Things such as the motorcycle first of all. I also build gaming computers and play video games (mostly racing). She should also like billiards, bowling, and an interest in golf would be good as well. She needs to be very honest and loyal and being a good cook would not hurt my feelings either. Thats the basic things and of course sex is quite important to me.

I am not a disaster although some of my friends might disagree, however I am a FED working in Disaster Assistance. NO..it is not with FEMA but another Federal Agency that arranges low interest loans for disaster victims. Wherever Mother Nature becomes angry and delivers a tornado, flooding or Hurricanes and fires too...I could be there shortly thereafter. And add a tsunami and the Oil Spill now too.
