I'm a high school instructor and coach who absolutely loves his job. It's what god's called me to do, and he has gifted me in this area. i love hanging out with my friends, watching dvd's (Tyler Perry's "Madea" movies, oh yeah!!!), working out, watching sporting events and traveling. I smile over the simple things: people being nice or helpful, funny stories, clean jokes, etc... My friends would describe me as someone who jokes a lot but is appropriately thoughtful and serious. A few adjectives that describe me would be sensitive, loyal and compassionate. My social life is pretty full... some times a little too full. I'm usually doing some kind of event with church, work or just friends.
I'm looking for someone with similar values: a committed christian- not someone who just goes to church on sundays; who's caring-she views people as christ does; has character- is willing to do the right thing even when it's tough; a cheerleader for her significant other- wants to push me to love jesus more and more; and is fun- loves and lives life to the fullest. I am also very involved in my local community in board leadership roles at local non-profits.
Here are a few random thoughts that may provide you some insight about me.
• My New Year's Resolution is to find more opportunities to laugh.
• I regularly immerse myself in experiences in the natural world so that I may more deeply appreciate my connection with all living things.
• I strive to honor the truth in myself and of others especially when it is in conflict with my own. I find authenticity an attractive quality and work to be more authentic (It is a messy endeavor and I am not always up to the challenge but I guess that makes me human).
• Sex is great but making love when the experience transcends the physical and becomes a portal for experiencing the divine is ecstasy.
I would enjoy meeting women who are confident in who they are, not in all they do or say but fundamentally grounded in their self awareness and self appreciation.
I know that open and honest communication is critical to the success of any relationship but I would also like to spend time with someone who appreciates discussing a broad range of ideas and is intellectually curious.
Because I enjoy the outdoors so much having a companion that enjoys nature and natural beauty is important. Camping, surfing, hiking, skiing, snow-boarding, biking...
I don't believe that either of us will really know if there is a connection unless we meet. We all have our filters and those are fine at a meta level and great for screening but most important are the subtle nuances of how someone speaks (tonality, word choice), what their eyes communicate, body language and the quality of their heart. You can't truly know these things about someone until you are in their presence.
This all sounds so serious and very adult but there are playful aspects of me that are always seeking for a way to be expressed. My boys help remind me about what is really important and to remember to view the world through their eyes.
