I've now spent most of my adult life in the Bay Area and have a variety of friends ranging from rags to riches but they all have similar core beliefs- mainly based around honesty, kindness and respect for others. Outside of these core beliefs I like to spread out my interests and activities. When I'm not working I like to spend a fair amount of time outside. Hiking, biking, skiing, tennis, or just enjoying the beach all make for time well spent in my eyes. I pride myself on being a good communicator, and in general view the world eyes wide open. Blindly accepting dogma or letting traditions dictate my actions isn’t in my being. Conversely, I’m non-judgmental and am totally cool with other beliefs. To each his/her own, right? ...just please don't be a gun-toting, bible-thumping, armageddon prepper :)
I’m definitely looking to do more outdoors. Number-1 on that list is hitting the slopes more often. I ski quite well but am still learning to snowboard; catching my front-edge reminds how painful practice is! Looking also to get back into rockclimbing, even if at an indoors sport-climbing gym ...and of course more travel.
So about you, it’s real simple (to me at least): have a good sense of humor (I'll be the judge of that!), put up with my sarcasm, be able to relax and watch a movie, enjoy different/exotic foods, have opinions and be able to discuss them intelligently, be open-minded, willing to be self-deprecating, hopefully have a career or on the way to having one, like my 2 cats (one thinks he’s a dog and knows several tricks like shaking hands and playing dead - seriously!), and staying fit is important to you. I am a pretty laid back guy who likes his creature comforts. I am playful and like to laugh.I love cars and enjoy going to events.. Like Eurosunday or cars n coffee..! I even race cars once in a while. Yup! I have the need for speed! I do plan on living a full life, so my racing is limited to closed tracks...like Laguna Seca or Sonoma. Love my Saturday morning’s -go out on long drives and stop by some 'hole in the wall' breakfast place and then drive back home. But then I run into those Saturdays when I have to work.. Uggh! I travel quite a bit and would love to make the travels into weekend trips, if I had the pleasure of your company. I like the outdoors a lot, so running & biking are frequent when I don't have to wear snow boots to get out of the house... Yes, I get cold easy!!, so warm hugs are always welcome anytime. Other days, I will go and just go and spend some quiet time by the lakes and beaches local to my area, its really peaceful and refreshing, and a great way to recharge batteries! Actually come to think about it, I have never gone hiking, or even camping for that matter. Do I dare, I may try it once and really like it ... Who knows..?!.... I enjoy going out for dinners & movies over clubbing and barhopping, I will indulge every so often, if the mood strikes. I have joined friends half way across the country or the east coast just for the weekend. I like adventure, the mystery of the unknown. Life is too short to plan every minute of it! Spontaneity..I like it.
I am very close to my family and since I am the only child..... You can prolly finish the rest of that thought your self.
So that was a bit about me, now you... In all honesty, I would just like to meet you over coffee and go from there... I do not have a " boxed image " of what I am looking for; every one is unique with a spark within. If I had to summarize " my ideal match" then....
