Date people from California, United States. The other day out of curiosity I was reading my zodiac sign and thought that it described my personality fairly accurately. I don't read the horoscopes typically but I found it to be genuine. Here's the plug:

A few months ago I got out of an unhealthy relationship and figured it's time to get back in the saddle. I thought I'll give this a try and let the chips fall where they may.
Among other things, I enjoy exploring new places and meeting people. I recently became a homeowner and thus spend most of my time on home improvement and other fun things (or not so fun things) associated with homeownership.
My ideal match would be someone who is compassionate, open-minded, health conscious, easy-going, has a sense of humor, humble, classy, and appreciate music/films/arts. I like long walks on the beach. OK that's not true, I like the beach drinkin beer on the beach. Don't much care for the walking part. I hate morning. I like noon, like afternoon. Love night! Especially love late night! But morning? Not morning. I break almost everything but I can fix pretty much anything. My neighbors hate me but your parents would like me. I drive big loud cars, Im a gearhead, metalhead with a messed up head thats a sybaritic, atheistic, very sarcastic, slightly psychotic, partyaholic, coffeeaholic, overindulgent white boy. Kinda justa big kid here. I like muscle cars, 4x4’s, football, BBQ'in, fishing, camping, REALLY LOUD METAL MUSIC, shooting guns, burping, farting and other fun stuff like that. Surprisingly enough I’m also somewhat responsible (have a car & truck, self employed, own place, can kinda cook, etc.). Respectful and chivalrous as well (Mom raised me right).

I'm outdoorsy and athletic - I've done an Ironman triathlon twice, marathons, and did my first 50k trail run last December. I grew up in New Jersey (I try to admit this as rarely as possible), went to college in Maine (translation: froze my butt off for 4 years!), then Colorado for 11 years, and I've been in San Diego now for almost 4 years, and absolutely love it! The ability to be out and doing stuff all year round comfortably is just unspeakably awesome. I've been out of it for years now, but I'm planning to get back into sailing now that I've got the ocean so close by. I've chartered boats in the caribbean for some of the most incredible vacations (which is second only to a great scuba vacation, and then there's ski vacations, etc)! I'd like to get my skills back in shape to start sailing around the area here! If a sunset cruise with some wine sounds good to you, it most certainly sounds great to me!
Though I love going out and being totally goofy, I'm also extremely career-driven. I absolutely love what I do for a living, and I've worked extremely hard to get where I am since I went and got my degrees in a totally different field (social psychology… Not clinical, so no, I can't analyze a dang thing about people, as much as such a super-power would rock). I'm a professional geek, coding software for Windows machines, even though I'm a total Mac lover, and have super warm fuzzy memories from when I used to work for Apple. I feel lucky to have found something I truly enjoy for that whole career thing!
I'm super-fun, and super-adaptive to all sorts of situations, meaning that I'll be serious when I need to be, polite when I should be, and I love to keep things light-hearted and fun the rest of the time! I officially call BS on everyone who claims they can find fun in an insurance seminar… I'm sorry, but you can't. However, if we can exchange a few exasperated eye-rolls at each other through such painstaking activities and follow it up with a few drinks and blatant mockery of the insane awfulness we just sat through, then we can totally rock this, that, and any other boredom infused obstacle in our path! Afterward, whichever one of us recommended spending the day in an insurance seminar has to apologize profusely. As long as we come out with a great story to tell, it's worth it!

At first I do appear shy but its me being reserved till I get to know the person better. I am honest, most of the time too honest. I never intend to hurt any feelings, but I believe if someone asks a question they should want an honest answer. I'm fiercely loyal and protective of those I put into my inner circle and speaking of which I'm a proud parent of two wonderful boys and they mean the world to me. It would be great to share my life and family with a special someone but they need to know my children are just as important as the person I'm with. Right now I don't have a desire to have anymore kids, but I don't have a crystal ball and can't see into the future either, so anything is possible in life. You need to know that I don't have a good relationship with food, I usually eat too much of it, so I try to make up for over eating by staying active. I go to the gym and play hoops, also play in a basketball league as well. I have taken up running recently so on days that I don't get into the gym I'll go to the Strand and get some cardio in that way.
I was born and raised in Kentucky and after graduating from college I moved to the the west coast and have been here for the last 14 years, 2 in San Diego and the last 12 in the South Bay. I know I'm from Kentucky where there are tons of outdoor things to do, but I am definitely not a camping type of person anymore. I did all that growing up and for me now, a vacation means you can order room service.
My job does require a bit of travel but one of the places I go to on a regular basis is Hawaii so hopefully you have some vacation days saved up!
I love spending time with my family, watching basketball games with my kid and my Dad. Getting together with my parents on occasion to have dinner.
I watch TV ok there I admit it. I don't know what it is, but lately anytime I bring up television people always say they don't watch TV. I, on the other hand love my DVR, I'm never home when the shows I like are on, my DVR lets me watch the shows I like whenever and skip the commercials..... so much more efficient :)

I grew up in Selma/Fresno so I consider myself a valley boy with worldly experience having travelled to various places internationally and within the US. I’ve been to too many places to list within the US but I’ve lived in San Luis Obispo for college and for work I’ve lived in Fresno (of course), Milwaukee, Cleveland, New Orleans, Sacramento, Walnut Creek, San Jose, and San Francisco (for last 10 years). Other places I’ve been to (internationally) are Mexico (several places since age five), Hawaii (Oahu Maui), Tahiti, Costa Rica, Japan and Okinawa (which I differentiate from Japan for cultural reasons). My next trip will be to Spain or Thailand…want to come? I came back to Fresno from SF one year ago to rehab my back and knee which were injured in 2010 in a car accident. I will say that one of my favorite places in the whole world is the City (where I still consider my home) so I visit often. I love showing off my old stomping grounds so I want to meet someone who is down for road trips to SF. If you live near the City and come across my profile for whateva reason, even better!
I have a passion for music and enjoy playing sax often. I am actually kinda good and hope to play in Fresno and SF (again) sometime in the near future. The dream is to become famous someday. :) And because I love music, I LOVE-LOVE-LOVE to dance my arse off! I'm a big foodie…AND!…I am a damn good cook. Bonus, right? I cook bomb ass Mexican food, various types of steaks, fish, hamburgers, and snausage (you like?)…which also means that I am a connoisseur of fine wine, champagne, and spirits. Lately I’ve been cooking lots of IndianMexican food (fusion) paired with Indian and Mexican beers and love it; my fam says I should open a restaurant. I know…that is how good I can cook! ;) As far as eating goes, I enjoy Indian, Japanese, Thai, Chinese, Mediterranean, Italian, Vietnamese, Lebanese, Pakistani, Greek, French, and Armenian...and American (almost forgot)…oh yeah, almost forgot, Mexican too! I LOVE TO EAT! ;)
