Date someone special from California, United States. Quick tid-bitz about me. Exercise (all types), Snowboarding every weekend during the season, Surfing, beach cruisers, lounging on the beach, picking my guitar, cooking....these are some examples of how I will typically spend my free time. I'm capable of cleaning up when the time and place call for it, however for the most part on my free time I prefer to stay very casual, get outdoors as often as possible and just go with the flow. I have far more interests than I can or have listed, but don't want to write my whole life's story here so if you're interested to know more just ask.
As far as who I'd like to meet: someone who's active, independent, positive, courteous, funny, and all around content with their lives. Basically someone I will want to spend a lot of time with ..... So if you love music, eating delicious healthy food, have the energy to exercise or just do fun active things with me often, love the outdoors (especially the beach / snowy mountains) and are truly down to earth then that is a great start! Also, BIG bonus points if you are fluent in sarcasm :)
A couple of likely deal breakers I guess I should include from the start so we do not waste one another's time. Sorry if this sounds too blunt.
1) If you list a required income. I'm looking for a partner in crime, not applying for a loan. *this one basically is if you've only listed 150k
2) If you've posted several pictures taken in a bar. We probably won't hit it off.
3) DISTANCE : been there done that too many times, never will again. For any given event, date, or getaway, I won't blink to drive / travel most anywhere, but for the day to day visits and hanging out kinda stuff I need to date a local. Period. (10-15 minute radius max) It's key at this point in life for me to find a girl who has the same rooted love for the simple beachy lifestyle we are spoiled with here.

I'm trying to come up with something that isn't the cliched "I'm good-looking, like to have fun, like to party, blah blah blah." You probably want a little more than that. I guess you can say that I'm an introverted guy who's really busy with work and school to meet people. I tend to get along with all kinds of people but hold a few close friendships that trump all the other groups combined. I like to relax and kick back but am also willing to put in the time and effort when its necessary.
I enjoy sports (basketball and football), movies (Indie to summer blockbusters), music (particularly alternative and classic rock), and the general tom-foolery. I am always willing to try new things (skydiving and bungee jumping are a couple of the "Whaaa?" things I've done.) I have a good sense of humor, and I can appreciate the funny from "The Daily Show" to "South Park" and everything in between. Does that pique your interest? Trust me, there is more.
I'm looking to meet a smart, attractive, romantic, athletic and fun-loving woman with a good sense of humor and a balance of spontaneity and predictability, someone who is able to go out all night for a party and be just as content to stay at home and watch a movie. Someone who knows about what is going on in the world, and has an opinion about it. Someone willing to work hard, prioritize, and have fun when it matters. ALSO, you should be a dog-lover. Life rarely turns out how you expect- usually not even plan B or C. Honestly, I am content with where I'm at, for the most part. Well, they made me change it for some unknown reason and, as I'm sure you know, every username is taken and I just stopped trying. So, what I ended up with is two words from a Scrabble game I was playing. Anyhow, I am a computer programmer and am fairly intelligent. I enjoy the mental aspect of my job but have developed a love/hate relationship with computers (as I believe anyone who has ever worked on a computer has as well). I cook well enough to feed myself but am in no way a master chef. I do enjoy baking a cake or cookies when the mood strikes (this is the real reason I learned to cook anything to begin with). I play ice hockey (any position but goalie), soccer (oddly enough, goalie), and have started taking Tae Kwon Do classes several days a week. I grew up playing card games and board games so I'm always up for that. I'm not into the Hollywood scene and want no part of it. I don't smoke or do drugs and when I'm in a bar I tend to find the corner and people watch. I'm a pretty casual person and something along the lines of jeans and a t-shirt is my preferred style (ties are for weddings and funerals). Basically, I'm 37, I have a sarcastic sense of humor, I know who I am and am just looking for someone to share my life with.
As for who I'm looking for...I like smart and independent. Having a career of your own is a definite plus. Competitive is good and I am not afraid to lose to a girl.
