So I'll just regurgitate what my friends who know me say about me: that I am extremely funny and that I should be a comedian, that I'm really smart, that I make them feel safe, that I should model for Asian underwear (because for some reason those are different than Caucasians'?), etc. etc. blah blah blah. I hate this part because it kind of makes you come off as egotistic (barf).
More importantly, I'm constantly curious about life and I love to make others (myself too) laugh so that they are happier and can enjoy life just that much more. I have a comedic personality (but I'm not an immature goofball). I love deep discussions about life, art, movies, businesses ANYTHING. More recently, I've had a lot of affinity for art and helping able artists become more able. I work on quite a few artistic projects ranging from film production (as the executive producer, I also do VFX for our web series and soon, a feature length sci-fi space warfare film), to teaching martial arts, to assistant-managing an art gallery, etc. Oh yeah and a couple of mysteries: I also secretly work for the number 1 dub step artist in the world (and recent Grammy winner hint hint nudge knee-to-the-groin), a long time friend - doing legal and accounting stuff... 2ndly... I used to be a major NERD. I've come out of it now, but I still retain some old habits (don't worry I won't ditch our date for a DD game).
I guess that brings me here to this site. I'm looking for someone special to spend time with. Someone that I can really get along with and have fun with. I've met so many married couples that have been together for decades and I always ask them what their secret is. Almost all of them say they married their best friend. This won't work for me because my bff is a dude, but I agree that I want to be with someone that enjoys the same things I do and can hold a conversation. Cheezy as it is, I couldn't agree more with Jason Mraz's duet song, "Lucky." I think there is a lot of truth to falling in love with a best friend. I need to be with someone that can be just as spontaneous as me. Someone who doesn't mind dancing in the middle of the road in the rain just because it's funny at the time; someone that has got "it" when it comes to socializing and having a good time. I moved to CA in June of 2009 after living in DC for 25 years. After living in San Diego for just over a year, I moved to LA in October 2010. I feel I know the city well but there a ton of places still left to explore.
I'd like to think that I'm an intelligent, open minded, sometimes sarcastic, and sharp witted person. I'm very passionate about music and art. I produce and engineer music in my own personal studio as well as professional commercial studios. I play and teach guitar and bass. I'm working on a screen play. I love to paint and sketch. A few years ago I took up classical guitar and joined a community orchestra, but just between you me and the Internet I once toured the country as the drummer in a heavy metal band.
