I spend a lot of time in front of a computer for school / work and so getting out and doing other things is especially important. I've spent about 12 years practicing martial arts, and feel as though I am a more grounded and laid back person because of it, though I do have a firey side. I enjoy rock climbing and backpacking as well as camping out. I started dancing Blues in October, and have been loving that experience. I never thought that I would get into dancing, but somehow it just seems to totally work for me... :) Added some Tango lessons to that mix in May, and that has been a great experience getting two fairly different styles mixed together.
I am originally from Connecticut but moved out to California a few years ago for grad school. Currently working on finishing up and enjoying life for the time being. Since I'm way too far from my parents and brother, we travel to each other about once a year.
