I am an active woman that runs marathons and half marathons while raising money and awareness for Team in Training (for Leukemia). I have been active with Team in Training since my older sister was diagnosed with Leukemia in Feb 2002. I was her stem cell donor and unfortunately, she lost her battle in October of 2002. I try to keep her memory alive and I run FOR her and others I have met over the years through Team in Training. I am quite passionate about this cause. I volunteer my time to others that are getting ready for their first running events whether that be a full or half marathon. I do not always run my race for me...just seeing those first timers cross that finish line is an awesome experience!
