I have a wry sense of humor and can sometimes be aloof, but my friends say they also appreciate me for my honesty, playfulness, and quirkiness. For one, I don't believe in the perfect principle, nor do I think that people can actually meet and understand one another until their pheromones meet in real life. But, as a full time architect and sometime furniture maker I find opportunities to meet new (single) people somewhat limited. Still, meeting new people is better than meeting none, and statistics have to round out at some point.

By day I am a computer consultant in the health care industry. If this sounds interesting and challenging, well it can be, but often it's also pretty routine. That's ok - I've been doing this for about 11 years now, so I have made my peace with the profession. There are benefits to being a computer person in an office of non-geeks. For instance, everyone LOVES me when I come around to help them with their system configuration. If only dating was this easy ;-) Also there is quite a bit of variety to what I do. So I don't complain. Of course, I'd like someday to have a direct positive impact on society, like teachers, social / non profit workers, or the clergy. Mucho respecto for any of you working in those professions. I think I am fairly good at what I do, and comfortable doing it, so I don't plan to change, for now.
Personality-wise, I am fairly easy-going, but I do have a serious side. I know that sometimes I need to live life a little and worry less.
