I think one of the greatest talents in existence is the ability to truly move someone with a short story.
Some interesting things about me: I have a 1st degree black belt in TaekwonDo. I have swam naked in the Mediterranean (and hope to again someday soon). I survived an attack by a mountain lion when I was a kid. I have loads of good material; story-telling is kind of my forte. Gotta save some for later, though--keep you folks interested, don't ya know.
Incidentally, I dig calling people "folks." It's one of the very few hints of Southern-ness that comes out of me. That, and the ability to pee masterfully while squatting outdoors, i.e. when camping.

I'm pretty sure that I'm the worst judge of character... so I might be a little more guarded until I get to know someone these days. I'm sort of a closet nerd and am learning to be proud of that. :) I also write poetry. I'm half Irish and half German, so you put 2 and 2 together on the qualities I have there... I'm pretty serious with people I don't know very well, but many close friends have said I should have been a comedian. I love to make people laugh. I consider myself successful and driven and determined. I am a single parent, work full time and go to school full time and still make time for the friends and family who matter in life.
