I am warm, witty, affectionate and charming in most situations, (and humble too, can't you tell?!) although I'm only human, so I am not those things all of the time. I'm an upbeat, positive person who prefers to see the lighter side of life and people, sometimes finding humor in situations where others may have difficulty seeing it. (This means I have a well-honed sense of the absurd and ironic as entertaining.)

My job is fantastic, it is very rewarding to know my actions make a real difference in the daily lives of others. It is a true pleasure to go to work every day, but I'm able to leave it there when I leave. I have a 7 year old son; his needs are the focus of much of my attention, but mama has needs too, and it's time to start addressing them! One of my favortie pasttimes is going to the movies--away from the phone, the TV, the computer, the doorbell. My favorite movies are those that offer something unexpected--Young Frankenstein, Being John Malkovich, The Big Lewbowski, Pulp Fiction, although I enjoy the more popular fare as well, like The Dark Knight and Avatar.
My favorite music is classic rock and pop and some contemporary, but I will listen (and try to sing!) to most anything. I LOVE traveling, equally enjoying everything from National Parks to big cities.
I have been sober for many years and am very active in my recovery group, although I do not begrudge anyone else their right to party. I have very liberal views, believing it best to live and let live, so I prefer others to be openminded too.
I have a wonderful life with a great balance between work, home, community service and play. Now I just need a partner to trudge the road of happy destiny with me!
