I am a single father with a teenage daughter. He mother died when she was 3. (not looking for sympathy, just need to know the situation). We are a package deal, so if that's an issue then please pass on by me and keep looking.
I have been in the area now for a little over 4 years. I am very active at my church (not perfect or a bible thumper, just saved by grace and trying to do a little better each day) I was a volunteer firefighter for 12 years until I moved at the end of the year. Now that my daughter is out of high school and starting college I have more free time for myself.
I love my job, my church and my friends. I believe you have to put 110% of the effort into anything that is worth doing.
I do have a serious side (when I have to be) but try not to take things too seriously. Laughter is important and relieves stress too:) I am passionate about things I believe in.
I am busy but have time for the right person, but don't play games.
I guess I am old fashioned in a lot of ways. I know how to treat a lady (including still opening doors), expect my child to treat people with respect and try to help people in whatever ways I can.
I have been asked what I like to do and I realized I left that out so here is a partial list in no particular order.. Lots of stuff... Anything from car shows, golf, bike riding, fishing, tubing, camping, hiking, movies, live bands, baseball, softball, football... Flea markets, yard sales, dinner theater, the symphony, museums... And I will throw in I am a cuddler and affectionate, but in a respectful manner.

I love having a house full of people to cook for and often do. My kids, 26, 17 and 13, are my entire life. Nothing comes before them! They are well-rounded, smart, beautiful, and make me smile.
