#2. The whole "online dating" thing is difficult to get used to but I don't have a lot of free time outside of work and meeting people has been difficult. Occasionally going out for drinks is fun, I don't necessarily think meeting someone in a bar is ideal for me. Usually guys I've met in bars have one thing on their mind and that's not what I'm looking for.
Those close to me would say I'm quick-witted and have a dry sense of humor. I'm also one who will go out of my way to put those I love and care about above myself. I enjoy making sure those around me are in a good mood and if I can put a little happiness in their day then yay me!
Overall, I'm pretty eclectic when it comes to personality and general interests. I'm a sucker for anything 90's, indie, occasionally red dirt, techno, and whatever else has a good beat! I'm generally not the girl to "work a crowd" but I'm not a clam either. Unless I'm with people who know me almost as well as I know myself or am comfortable in a situation, I may be a little more reserved.
I love to travel and the long list of places I want to visit in the U.S. as well as internationally grows daily. When the timing is right during this year/next year, I'll visit Australia and New Zealand. I really enjoyed visiting Guatemala, Paris, and Italy in the last few years and experiencing those cultures is what got me hooked on traveling.
I'm an upbeat person even in stressful times. I believe that a positive attitude creates a better outlook on life and helps you successfully manage stumbling blocks along the way. I hear it's good for the complexion too...
I'm a fan of sunshine so rock climbing (even though I'm not very good at it), hiking, canoeing, floating a river, laying by a pool, etc. are a few of my go to activities when the weather is great. I'm up for almost anything when I get free time whether it's sitting on the couch and watching a movie, going to a Naturals game, hittin' the road for a mini road-trip, surprising my family and friends by going home for a couple days, etc.

I'm genuine and very honest. I know, this may come across as cliche but hear me out...I enjoy building lasting relationships with people from all walks of life and putting up a front or being untruthful doesn't foster meaningful connections with others. I'm intrigued by the experiences people have gone through and how it shaped who they are.
I think actions speak louder than words. It's one thing to tell someone you care about them but showing that you're considerate of their wants and needs is what gives truth to those words. I live by this daily and you'll always know how I feel about something or toward a person based on how I show it rather than how I verbalize it.
The long list of things I want to accomplish range from the simplest of goals to biggies like one day becoming Dr. Ashley (I'll decide in a couple years what kind of doctorate I'll shoot for...no rush!) I would hope that my partner would encourage me along the way just as I will surely encourage him to accomplish his goals as well.
I am looking for a meaningful relationship but am certainly in no hurry to rush into anything. It takes time to get to know someone and I've learned that sometimes being friends for a minute (or two) can really open your eyes to a person's true personality and focus in life. Also, I'm in AR for a graduate degree and am not too certain where my first full-time position will place me. I'm interested in moving to a large number of different places but would take advantage of staying here for a couple more years if it's the best option.
