What I am sure about is my curiosity, varied interests in architecture, arts, construction and the Gypsy gene in me that brought me here from India some 40 years ago. I see myself as a person with a zest for living and countless interests in all subjects from Arts to Zen, who managed to keep one woman interested in him for more than 36 years, probably would have been for ever had it not been interrupted last year with some rare dreadful disease called Multiple Myeloma that took her life and crashed our hopes. The loss certainly leaves a hole in one’s heart but heightens the perception of fragility of life and the impermanent nature of everything and makes one think about one’s priorities and urgency of living in Here-Now.
While tending the bucket list and mending the soul, I took a recent trip to India and couple of long road trips last year to Chicago and Milwaukee and on the way visited national parks and off the road remote Native American reservations. I always liked to explore less traveled roads and Native Indian cultures. The abundance of natural beauty and wonderful places this country has been blessed with is amazing and all of it is so easily accessible by road travel. Although I enjoyed my solitude, at times I intensely missed the company of my wife and lively discussions we used to have on such trips when we lived in Arizona. I am already thinking about some road trips in coming summer on Trans Canadian Highways or on Highway 1 from San Diego to Vancouver. I would like to find the right woman to join me in the exploration and adventure who is equally passionate about road travels.
