I enjoy being active whether it is working around the house, playing sports, sightseeing, travelling or going to a play or a good movie. Last winter I decided to try snow skiing after a 15 year hiatus, and since I ended the season with no broken bones and less falls than expected, I considered it a success. In the last year I have done quite a bit of travelling around the US including Florida, New Hampshire, Green Bay and Idaho. In the past I was fortunate to travel to England, France, Italy and China with my late wife. I look forward to some international travel in the future posssibly to Spain, Greece or South America. I do enjoy playing golf and training my dog.
I became widowed in early 2011 when my wife of almost 37 years lost her long battle with breast cancer. Though I have now been dating since the first of the year, the whole experience still seems new and unique after not having dated for so many years. Still trying to formulate what I expect from the experience. I am hopeful I will meet people with whom I enjoy doing things and spending time. I have not idea where anything would go after that, as I believe everything starts with friendship and expands from there.
I am grateful for my great children and my good health. My friends would say I am reserved but personable and that I have a good sense of humor.
