Date men and women from United States / Arkansas / Dalark, 63 year old

Date people from Dalark, United States. Confessions first--there is already a lady in my life, a very beautiful blonde who I spend a lot of time with, she has never yelled at me nor chewed my "butt", however she has chewed lots of other stuff, my son's yellow lab-Maggie. If my dog loves you then you must be alright, and of course, she loves everybody.
I am looking for someone who not only loves Maggie, but who loves themself. So many people I meet today, seem mad at the whole world. Even though life may have dealt us a few blows, it is still a great life to enjoy and way to short to be miserable. The right person must be able to laugh with and at the world.
Quiet before noisy--quiet beach or roaring campfire for two. I have lived the nightclub scene in the past, okay now and then, but I still prefer more quiet, intimate settings. Communication is easy when the setting is isolated and communication is very important in forming and maintaining a relationship. Let's start with sharing and communicating first and see where mutual conversation leads us. Hopefully neither of us has experienced too much negative in life to form a new meaningful relationship.
I have a 19 year old son who is a major part of my life. It is amazing how much priorities and things that were once important seem petty when a child is involved. He too loves the outdoor life and sports.
As a child of the '60s, I still enjoy the music from that time period, especially Hendrix, Temps, Marvin Gaye--my son has turned me onto country--to a limit. Eagles, Buffet, and Skynnard stay in my car CD player.
Growing up the youngest of 3 brothers, I was exposed to military life early--both brothers served in Air Force and Marines, so of course I had to join the Army in the late 60s. Decided I needed to win the war in Vietnam---reality check. Flew in aviation units in Vietnam and Germany. I still love to fly and am part owner of a small plane. I have been a flight instructor for over 30 years and still enjoy teaching.
I have always tried to maintain a level of fitness and would hope my match would do the same. Even though age has taken some of the "6 pack abs" away, I still maintain at least a "4 pack". Even though the battle is more intense, I work daily on my diet and health and so far, knock on wood, no real physical problems. Mental, may be another question. Like everyone else on Match.com, "I" think that I don't look 60, but of course I am "high mileage", with a lot of those miles over rough Arkansas roads! And mentally, my job is demanding, but nothing like being a single parent, I have to stay mentally sharp to stay ahead of a 15 year old.
Rtorhead---the part of a helicopter that pretty well holds the rest in flight-thus my "name" In military we referred to "propheads" to those who flew fixed wing, and "rtorheads" as those who flew the noisy ones.
I gave up my "white horse" years ago and my armor is far from "shining" and may even be a bit rusty--but I still feel somewhat like a "knight" and if you are looking for that "perfect" knight in shining armor"--well I ain't him!!! The older I get, the more I realize there are no "perfect" partners--just hope to find someone who you enjoy the majority of the time. As the great poet Jimmy Buffet sang, "I'm an over 40 victim of fate" and "I have made enough money to buy Miami, but I pissed it away, never meant to last" sums up my life.
My son and I have just built a home (cabin) in the country, next to our hunting lease of 2500 acres. It is so relaxing to be back in the woods and country where we can hop on the 4wheeler and ride and mud. We have a garden next to our home and love the home grown veggies. I had forgotten after living in town for over 15 years how great the "country" can be. Just now have to finish deck and find a place for hot tub.
Interested--inquisitive?? Send me an quick note-let's start with conversation and see where it leads--nothing ventured--nothing gained--at any rate, good luck in YOUR relationships!
