I passionately love God, my family and my friends (in that order.) I get excited about the first daffodil of spring, a snowman in the winter and the changing of the colors in fall. I can get excited about almost anything....a weiner roast, hayride, going to the beach, seeing a rainbow, going on a picnic , hanging out with friends. I enjoy the simple pleasures in life. I can also get excited about a cruise, vacation to Destin, WIliamsburg, St. Augustine, Zurich, Paris. I'm also very content to stay at home with the right person.
I can be happy single or maried, but think I prefer being married. I love serving others and it woud make me very happy to spoil a husband. It would be ok if he spoiled me, too. I am not clingy and am comfortable spending time alone. I'm ok if my husband has a few hobbies that do not include me. I must know, however, that I am cherished and that he would drop anything for me if needed I would want him to have the same expectations of me. I want to bring out the best and the little boy in my husband.
I love cooking and entertaining guests. In a large crowds, I am not shy, but am relatively quiet. I actually prefer a smaller group over a large one. I love setting a formal table (and telling guests to come in jeans) with fresh flowers ( from my garden), candlelight, crystal and siver.....but I also enjoy outside activites ie hunting, gardening, and occasionally fishing (yes, I will bait my own hook unless it is a worm.) I love putting on heels and a lttle black dress and going out...but I'm happy in my jeans and sweatshirt.
Whoever marries me gets a family! My two daughters (I promise you willl love them) currently live at home, but are in college and have part time jobs. I see little of them because of their busy schedules. We were devastated when their father left us, but from the first day, we have maintained hearts of forgiveness, joy and thankfulness for life's many many blessings. We will always choose to have a positive outlook and would rather not be around negative influences. We see the glass as almost full.
I have a group of six incredible christian ladies that I meet with at least biweekly. I also attend a home group Bible study that eats together and watches Robert Morris tapes. I'm the only single person, but they have been long-time friends and want me to stay.
I am very busy and content. I have no desire to meet someone just to have fun. I want to spend time with someone only if they are a potential life long mate. I just can't make myself post a picture on a dating site. I'm not drop-dead gorgeous (who is at 57!??) but I am slender and look as good as all the oter members on here!!! Just sayin! I would not want to meet anyone before sharing our pictures.
Finally, I am 57 instead of 58 and it is very hard to believe. I don't feel it and I don't think I look it, but it may be that I am seeing the almost full glass again. Bessings to you!
