I have been in the Little Rock radio/tv market since 1988 and worked for stations like B98.5, Fox 16, KEZQ 100.3 and have worked for the Point 94.1 for about the last 11 years. Unfortuantely, the media market has changed drastically over the last 20 years so the last 15 years my primary job has been in distribution management where I'm currently the vice president of a commercial laundry distributor covering Arkansas, Tennessee, Mississippi, Louisiana and Texas.
In my spare time I coach baseball at the Sylvan Hills ball park, enjoying playing guitar, playing sports, going to concerts, doing yard work, home improvement, travel, going to movies and try to experience new activities as much as possible. As much as I like relaxing outisde, I don't have a boat or get to frequent the lake. I also don't have a Harley, Corvette, tattoos or hang out at bars. As a single dad, I need to focus responsibility on being a great dad as opposed to going through some type mid-life crisis for material items to be cool.
As the father of an 8 year old son, it is also crucial that my future relationships are considerate of my time dedicated to my son. My sole focus is raising a proper young man. However, I have the time and dedication to devote to a loving woman as well. My goal is to find a true friend, someone I can trust while developing a relationship that may lead to something else. I'm not into playing games and casually throwing winks to everyone I see. Being Canadian I was fortunate enough to foster interests which include winter staples such as hockey, ice skating, curling, cross-country and alpine skiing. Not limited to winter activities, I enjoy swimming and remain open to trying new potential interests. Attending Formula 1 Grand Prix racing venues and watching World Cup soccer are my favourite events. Music is a very important part of my life. Aspirations of touring the world as a concert pianist still haunt me occasionally but were crushed by my lack of world-class virtuosity much to the chagrin of my former Juilliard-trained teacher.
Imagine this scenario- driving top down to an outdoor breakfast rendez-vous with my date on a clear but cool, secluded, early autumn morning, presenting a long-stemmed rose centered on the breakfast tray servicing her unspoken wishes communicating thoughts and conveying answers solely through flirtatious gestures and furtive glances deeper than mere words can express and finally watching a sunset from my hammock, her glass in hand half-filled with a grand cru as I massage her petite feet with my fingers interlacing her toes without reticence pondering the timelessness of our first of many romantic dates. FYI- I'm not a writer for pharmaceutical ads, beer or greeting card companies; rest assured but if you're thinking only of one person with whom you would want to live out such a scene, then take the initiative to let the guy know you're interested in being together. Don't let "What if...?" be your legacy; I certainly don't. Remember: you'll never find the edge in life until you surpass it, then it's too late.
I am willing to travel to be with that special someone because true love knows no limits to the wondrous possibilities togetherness can bring. Whether it's relocating, learning a foreign language or skill, I would make the modifications necessary to be with her. Life would be grand to find her while praying that same sentiment would be shared equally passionately between us. I understand and agree that a mother's priority must focus on raising her children, not dating guys via the internet. I sadly realize nowadays that "never been married" does not necessarily exclude already being a parent among even some of the youngest women posting dating profiles. Relationship viability requires a love that never makes the commitments to each other feel like arduous tasks but instead blessings God has given us never to be taken for granted. I pray I'll find her someday and raise a family alongside the love of my life for the rest of my life. That means letting go of any bitterness or resentment we might harbour from past unrequited love which damages hearts so much we are left wondering if we can ever love again. I truly believe we can; we must! Shouldn't life be about only that after all? No other course matters to a romantic-at-heart like me. I enjoy anything from a good muddy football game and a few beers afterwards with the guys to a formal evening complete with candlelite dinner and the symphony accompanied by a beautiful lady in an evening gown and myself in a tux. Oh, by the way, ladies, I am, by birth, as well as by choice, A GUY!!! I don't deny this. In fact, when I meet someone new, I am usually pretty up front about it. This means that I like most of the things that the contemporay American male likes - contact sports, sports bars, cold beer, hot wings, old ball caps and, on a case by case basis, certain "parts" of the human female body.... ;)
That being said, this does not mean that I am a wifebeater-wearin', whistlin'-at-chicks, Pabst Blue Ribbin drinkin' slob... I am, in fact, also house broken. I put the toilet seat down, put the cap back on the toothpaste and separate my laundry into whites and colors. I may be the only male on the planet who actually likes Yankee Candles stores! My father lives around the corner from me and we hang out a lot on weekends. He will decide wether you shall live.
