I just moved to Tucson about a month ago from Seattle. I did some EMT work there and was a Medical Assistant in Family Med for 2 years. I'm now working on my prerequisites for nursing school. I like Tucson so far, but really haven't met too many people. I live with my brother who is a year and a half older than me. Family is a huge part of my life so I'm extremely fortunate that my parents decided to retire in Goodyear.

Having lived with a mild case of autism, I'd always found it difficult to relate to and understand others, so I'd always been a bit of an outcast. Lately, I've been overcoming some hurtles, but making friends is still very difficult for me.
Even so, it's not like I have too many regrets, and life had been pretty swell anyway, being with a steady job, and recently having become a homeowner. Really, it's not like the idea of living without a significant other really bothers me all that much, but at the same time, I don't want to go without at least trying, and, being something of a romantic at heart, I want to believe there is someone somewhere. Besides, regardless of whatever capacity, I'm all for making friends.
I lived in New Hampshire for twenty-six of my twenty-eight years, but I made a big lifestyle change, which just happened to land me here in sunny Tucson, Arizona.
I'm easygoing, playful, and pretty chill in general, not one to waste his energy getting angry. I try to view the world in a humorous light, and I can be pretty funny (or so I like to believe), usually in a sarcastic way. I'm also fairly confident in my intellect, and am a pretty decent dude overall (and hopefully none of this came off as narcissistic). I enjoy having fun (or at least whatever I consider "fun," as it is a relative term) and like entertaining people and making them laugh.
However, the word I believe describes me best would be "creative." One of my favorite things is to come up with a story idea and get it down in writing.
While I generally have a laid-back lifestyle, I never neglect my responsibilities, keep my promises, and I make it a point to stay at least in reasonable shape. In most situations, I try to act relaxed and detached, but it's really just for public appearances. Underneath that, I'm actually kinda shy and sensitive. I also have a lot of respect for life, going so far as to actively avoid killing insects, if I can help it.
Regarding that whole "staying in shape" bit, the sport I primarily practice is epee fencing, though I also enjoy tennis, badminton, and water volleyball very much. However, my favorite sweat-inducing activity, above all else, is biking.
Who I am looking for is someone who is nice, understanding, down-to-earth, who I can do things together with, is easy to get along with, and not entirely girlish, as in someone who can get into some of the things guys usually enjoy. I really don't care about income, accomplishments, where someone is on society's hierarchy, or other such materialism; To me, those don't factor into the worth of an individual.
Having never been in a relationship, I'm hoping to find someone who's willing to start by taking things slow, as in things like marriage and kids being a distant detail (though if you have a kid or two, I'm okay with that). I also like independent women, as I can't stand clingy girls.
Above all else, however, is someone who I can have a good time with and accept me for who I am. I've occasionally been regarded as pretty out-there sometimes, a result of aforementioned mild autism, so someone who can give me a chance knowing this, and still treat me as an equal, is a must.
Anyway, the bottom line is that I just want someone who's fun to be around and can accept me for the kind of person I am.
