I get "cabin fever" pretty easily and would much rather go for a hike, take my boys to the park, work on projects around the house, etc. And I'm not much into the bar scene either. As I've gotten a little older (and hopefully a bit wiser), I've come to the conclusion that the things I'll remember in life as being worthwhile will be the experiences and conversations shared with friends and loved-ones. All the rest of "it" really doesn't matter much in the end. I also make a point to get out of my comfort zone when the opportunity arises. Sometimes doing something scary or uncomfortable forces you to grow as a person.

I am from southern California but have lived in AZ most of my life. I Love the beach and so much of what the coast has to offer as a means to unwind. Some of the other places I like to find escape are Sedona, Prescott, any of the lakes along the Rim Country. Pretty much anywhere I can experience the beauty of nature.

It holds some truth to it though dont you think? Now I dont know if being on Match.com is the right way to go but it seems the options for meeting someone to actually connect with are somewhat limited, so here I am. I see a lot of profiles on here of people looking for 'Mr. Right', so I suppose you could say that Im looking for 'Mrs. Right'. I am a guy whose comfortable in my own skin and would hope that when I meet someone they would be the same. Im non judgemental however if Im driving through Phoenix I pretty much assume that all of the OTHER people on the road dont know what the hell their doing....Im not trying Match with any expectations in mind, merely hoping. I play hockey at least once a week. Currently tuning up for a tournament in Vegas with some lifelong freinds from Alaska we play in every year. I like to golf, hike, camp, and actually am up for just about anything. One of these days Id like to hike the Grand Canyon again, but explore it properly this time. I guess you could say I do like variety in the things I do however the familiar is always - always welcome. Sometimes nothing beats a night at home with a good movie and good company. As far as TV goes, I really only watch sports and movies. I try to stay away from the news as it seems like its always bad....especially the political shows - too much bickering it seems. I like to keep an even keel for the most part, but that is not to say I dont feel strongly about things or have opinions. I love a good debate from time to time, not to win, but to share ideas and points of view - although I can be passionate about both. I think Im a genuine guy with a good heart. It would be great to meet someone to share time with and see what happens next.
What more do I say? I think its difficult to put down on paper sometimes what it is your really thinking on things like this dating site....I would say Im an honest, caring, genuine person with a good heart. I am a pretty independant thinker and doer but love to share time with those that I love.
Update: I know my profile says 'not sure' about children - I have to say that Im definitely not opposed to having more children, but it seriously has to be the right person and the right kind of relationship - and a mutual decision.
Date men and women from Arizona, United States. WoW! It seems hard to believe that I've completed my first year of law school. It's hard to believe how fast the time goes given all the reading and assignments I must complete, and the how little sleep I have survived on. That said, I'm happy in my decision and new career direction I've chosen.
A genuine smile is #1 for me. It makes people wonder what you are thinking about! My most memorable moments often involved the biggest, cheesiest smile on my face. As a result, that's what I often look at first in a person.
A few things about me: I have come full circle. After spending a career serving our country, and living for a few years overseas, I find myself choosing a new direction.... studying law. It's been consuming much of my time and it's a lot of hard work with long hours of studying, but I am enjoying it so far.
Aviation was one of my first loves: flying, air traffic control, aircraft dispatching for the airlines. As a result I've been lucky enough to travel quite a bit. I've travelled all around Europe, Middle East, SE Asia, Australia/New Zealand, Alaska, Hawaii, and Mexico. Though, I've seen a lot, I still want to see more and return back to those favorite spots of mine. I've also spent time along the way learning some Italian and Spanish while in Italy and Mexico. I still have a long way to go, but it was a lot of fun immersing myself into the cultures.
I love the outdoors, hiking, camping, etc. I wish I could do more of it and I miss getting up into the mountains and pine trees. I recently rediscovered target shooting from my younger days and realized just how much I have missed it it's a great law school stress reliever. I referee soccer, including kids, adults (women's/co-ed mostly), and high school. Roller coasters are a hit for me as well and I try to make it out to Magic Mountain whenever I can.
I'm willing to try anything once and even twice. I absolutely love Mexican food and take advantage of my best friend's mom when she comes down to visit. I also enjoy ballroom dancing (tango and swing are my favorites), and recently competed in a local competition. I'm not usually into the club scene much, but on occasion I do try to go out and enjoy a night out. I like finding those hidden local hangout gems. Doc and Eddy's being one of my regular watering holes during football and basketball season.
