Meet men and women from United States. I am a widower who is looking to find someone with whom to merge lives and provide each other the support that is found in a partnership of best friends. I especially look for the ability to communicate between one another without reservation or concealment. I am totally honest and open in any topic or aspect of my life and thoughts and would expect the same from the person I hope to find. I dress very casual and I am low maintenance. My interest range over a wide field of technical, scientific, political, historic, cultural, arts, sociological and many other fields. This is not to say I am not amenable to other areas, it is just a preference. I am not a blind patriot, but love my country for what it could and should be. Case in point being that the crass failure of our arrogant foreign policy has lead to a dire domestic fiscal crises. Also, I believe everyone's god (or non-god) is within their own mind and need not be proselytized beyond those confines. I have a very quick, but friendly, sense of humor inserting a play on words into most conversations. I believe humor is an essence which helps keep us from being overburdened with life's troubles and hardships. I am physically fit and have no debilitating ailments. I recently adopted two tuxedo female kittens, Boots and Socks, who have taken over the house in spurts of entertaining frolic. I like to go out to concerts, plays, lectures, hikes, road trips among many activities, except for dancing having two left feet. :-( . I hope to discover someone who finds these attributes to be attractive enough to entertain the possibility of meeting. If there is a sustaining spark of mutual attraction upon an initial meeting I would consider seeking a long term partnership until the time that one or the other inevitably expires, hopefully in the far distant future. . Also, I prefer to chat by phone to see how well we can communicate prior to a first encounter nose to nose over some food or coffee. I await and appreciate any and all responses from those who have enough initiative to do so. ;-)
