Date men and women from United States / Arizona / Sierra Vista, 33 year old

Date men and women from Sierra Vista, United States. I'm originally from a small town in Indiana. I've also lived in North Carolina, Alaska, Illinois, and just recently (JAN 2012) I moved to Arizona. I've lived in a large city (Chicago, IL) and a small village in the middle of Alaska... but no matter where I go, I'm still a small town Hoosier boy at heart. However, I prefer living in bigger cities--I love the culture. I take great pride in being honest, helping others, and using the manners my mother taught me.
I'm social, but introverted. In other words: I like being around people, but I find it exhausting (ha) - and I usually have to recover from it with some downtime. (Playing the guitar is my favorite downtime hobby). I prefer to be around small groups of people I know rather than large crowds of strangers. I make exceptions though, of course (e.g., concerts, sporting events, etc).
I was a college athlete, but kinda stopped doing sports (outside of weight training) after a series of knee injuries. I really should get back into sports/athletics/fitness. Maybe yoga or pilates? I need to start with something low impact that won't kill my knee. Any ideas/advice? Wanna join me?
I'm an Officer (Lieutenant/O-3) in the US Public Health Service. I'm currently stationed with the Army at Fort Huachuca, AZ. I provide clinical mental/behavioral health care to our soldiers. It's a rewarding job, and I'm honored to do it.
I appreciate all kinds of people, but I also know that certain characteristics are a better fit with/for me than others. If you're an easy-going, laid-back introvert, that's a GREAT start! I admit to also having a soft spot for gentle/kindhearted people. Humility is an amazing character trait (no braggarts, please). Optimism is also a must. This doesn't mean that you have to always be happy. You can totally be upset and bitch about it; I will be glad to lend you my ear and shoulder... but what happens when the bitching is over? Winston Churchill is credited with having said, "A pessimist sees the difficulty in every opportunity; an optimist sees the opportunity in every difficulty." I'm attracted to people who can find the opportunities in their difficulties, and then pursue those opportunities!

Meet a soulmate from Sierra Vista, United States. I know what you all are thinking. What is a rugged, good-looking guy like this doing on Match?
I consulted the experts and they told me that working in a predominantly male field and living in a relatively small town is not conducive to fostering new romantic interests. So here I am.
Sarcasm and self-deprecating humor aside, I have been trying to find a way to describe myself without just listing adjectives. So how does one say that he is simply a nice guy who is looking for someone with whom he can share life’s experiences? I believe that people best get to know one another through conversation, but it seems that the art of conversation is dying and being replaced by 140 character updates. Perhaps I am just an analog watch in a digital age.
I am originally from New England and came to the desert for work. I keep busy by remaining active. I am usually in the gym in the morning and am currently swimming most afternoons. I don't consider myself a gym rat but it gives me an hour or so with my headphones on and wakes me up for the day. I am always good for a witty remark or comeback, overall I just like to have a good time and try to enjoy whatever it is I am doing.
What am I looking for? I want to find someone that compliments me. Someone that is able to find humor in situations. Intelligence is highly underrated but ultimately very attractive. I am looking for someone that I can share with, whatever may come. Perhaps online dating is not the most quixotic solution, but the world is changing.

Date people from Sierra Vista, United States. I'm a former Army officer, now currently a defense contractor. I've lived overseas (mostly in Europe and Iraq--boo!) for the past four years or so, and I'm happy to be back "home." I love the outdoors and looking forward to doing some hiking in the future, as well as getting into rock/wall climbing and whatever else I can find! I like to bike, but don't do it nearly as much as I should. And I just learned how to scuba dive, too.
I'm looking for someone funny and smart and outdoorsy. A sense of humor is very important (as is a willingness to put up with mine!). I'm pretty laid back, so I would hope my date would be , too. Not to mention wouldn't mind spending an afternoon hiking or going on a bike ride, or trying something new.

Meet single man from Sierra Vista, United States. A Jack of all trades but a master of none I suppose. There is really only one thing that I want people to say about me when I die, and that is : "He was a good dad".
Let's try something different, let's talk, let's crawl, let's walk then we can run. Remember, it's not about the destination, it's about the journey.

Date someone special from Sierra Vista, United States. So I gave this a shot, wasn't completely satisfied with the results. Ratio's on here are such that one has to really shine to be noticed. I shine in ways that you won't get introduced to on here (get your mind out of the gutter) and will take a while to see. Our path is chosen but the journey is still being written, I just don't see it turning into a novel on here.
Life is all about living and in this day and age technology can put a serious halt to the most important part of a relationship; intimate communication. We text too much; we e-mail too much. I'm just as guilty as the next person but when you look at it, we spend all day texting each other and then when we have one on one time, we don't have anything to say. The heart can't grow fonder by absence when we are in each others pocket all day. And people get so tore up over texts that are taken the wrong way; there is no emotion in text, find out what they mean before jumping to conclusions.
Patience: there is someone for everyone, some days you need to wait and other days you just need to open your eyes, it may just be right there in front of you!
For now, I'm just going to sit back and enjoy the ride, my day will come. I'm really the type of guy who normally finds himself in a relationship instead of searching for one. Best of luck to all and Happy Hunting!!

Someone that can be honest and open about their likes and dislikes. I love to dance and listening to live music. This dating thing has been an adventure so far. Meet a man from Arizona, United States. This is difficult because I don't talk about myself much. I enjoy outdoors stuff like golfing, hiking, traveling, and swimming. I also enjoy indoor stuff like video games and movies, it just depends. I have a strong goal for long term success in life which means that I actually have a plan to retire well someday. I don't know what actually makes me unique however, people who know me say that my personality stands out. I have a good sense of humor so I'm told. People also notice my southern accent. I'm typically a very laid back person and just enjoy good company and having a good time. I'm generally reserved until you get to know me. I'm up for pretty much anything and find ways to appreciate everything. I'm new to this area so I may have to research around and figure out what there is to do here.
