Date men and women from United States / Arizona / Sedona, 63 year old

Date a soulmate from Arizona, United States. Thank you for all of your emails! I may have found my match, he is flying down to La Paz to meet me August 9. Fingers crossed!
I am a sixty three year young woman, widowed for fifteen months. I was with my husband for forty years and have decided I like "together" much better than "alone".
I am retired and own my home in La Paz, Mexico and love this loud/colorful culture. Okay, maybe not the "loud" so much! For you scaredy cats, La Paz is NOT a war zone. We laugh here and thank the media for that because it keeps us small and happy! I've been asked about the connection to Sedona, that is where our business is based out of, I try to get there a couple of times a year.
Oddly enough, I am not a swimmer but love anything to do with the ocean. One of the highlights of my life, after my marriage and son, was to sail on a 40' sailboat for two years through Mexico, the Polynesian Islands and Hawaii. I do love to snorkel as long as the water is like glass! I am learning line dancing this year and in the fall will join a hiking group. My exercise of choice is walking.
I love anything sweet. l love a piece of dark chocolate with a glass of "Cigarzin".
I am a smile machine and love a good belly laugh or cry, and sometimes I do them at the same time. No worries, I'm past the hormonal stage!
I really don't "love" to cook but I do love to bake.

I can get lost in my craft room for hours on end being "crafty". I don't own a television, I love to read books I can get lost in, like "Cutting For Stone" or fun books like "Breakfast With Budha", I am currently reading "Shantaram". I am finding "Shantaram" disturbing and am afraid I may never finish it because I keep putting it down! I love movies but nothing scary or sci-fi. I guess that only leaves chick flicks! Now, that IS scary. I'll have to work on that.
I pretty much love all music except for Rap and Jazz. I might learn to tolerate Jazz, but never Rap.
What I am looking for in a man:
A gentleman for sure. I got so used to my husband opening doors for me that when he was gone, I had a few doors slam shut in my face! That was annoying!
So, I would love a caring and understanding gentleman. Those are always good traits in a man.
And, happy. Happy is good.
I prefer skirts over shorts in the summer.
My perfect date would be going out for fish tacos and a beer followed by a walk on the Malecon (beach walk) and a frozen yogurt for dessert. If your perfect date would be a fancy dinner with a glass of wine, I could probably do that too but would still insist on the walk!
I am hoping to find a friend first and see what happens from there. I'm talking about the rest of my life here and don't want to make a mistake. I would love it if the second half of my life were as wonderful as the first half.
I've always believed there is a special someone, that perfect person for everyone. I hope we all find ours.
