Meet a woman from United States. This is an old account, but I haven't been on in quite a while. I updated it a little bit, including the main pic which was taken 11/1/11. I have had a lot of false starts dating since my son was born. I finally jumped in with both feet and was having a great time with a guy who I met on here three years ago, but had never met in person. Alas, he lost his job and is now moving out of state. But I thank him for getting me back into dating.
I had my first and only child three weeks before my 43rd birthday, he changed my life in ways I could not have imagined. Two and a half months later I unexpectedly became a single mother due to domestic violence. My world turned upside down. I moved across the valley, leaving all my friends and support behind me and started out fresh.
I've got great situation now. I have a beautiful home three miles from my mom's house, which means a lot of emotional support and free babysitting when she is in town. I am mom to a truly remarkable young man and I have seriously cool pets who adore each other and my son.
Some history: I was born in Cleveland, lived in L.A. as a child and grew up primarily in Boston, four blocks from Fenway Park. As an adult I moved around the country a fair amount. I consider myself as having two hometowns, Boston and Cleveland, where I lived for 5 years as an adult. I moved to Phoenix in November 2001. My mom is a snowbird, spending part of the year here and part in Boston. I lived up in northern AZ for 5 years, coming back to the valley when I found out I was pregnant. Barring some great change in my life, I see this as my permanent home and I will raise my son here.
I have done a lot of really interesting things in my life, as a matter of fact, there were some years I prayed for boredom. As I mentioned, I have lived all around the country. I was involved in the live music business for a number of years and have some really out-there stories. I am a graduate of Connecticut School of Broadcasting and would very much like to get into the radio end of the music business, if I can ever manage to get a demo tape done.
I have thirteen tattoos, all of which are covered when I wear a t-shirt and jeans, and at one point had 30-something body piercings. I have been around a block or two, and come out of it all safe and sound. And now I am a mommy. It is both the hardest and best thing I have ever done.

Let's face it, most guys my age are long past pre-school and training wheels. Also, I used to weigh 312 pounds, I had gastric bypass surgery in August 2004 and was a size eight, until I got pregnant. I'm heavier than I'd like to be right now, I am actively working at losing the weight because preschooler weight just doesn't have the same ring as baby weight.
I need a guy who can be understanding if I have a hard time trusting and getting close at first. You need to understand that I really thought I had my life mapped out. I was madly in love with the man I was sure I was going to spend the rest of my life with, more sure than I had been with either of my husbands, we had the most wonderful baby in the world, and then bam! my life exploded. It's going to take me a while to believe in someone again.
