I have raised three children on my own and they are about grown and are leaving like little ducks, one after the other. I am not sad to see them go as many people complain about Empty Nest Syndrome. I am looking at it as an opportunity to enjoy life to a fuller extent than just being a Mom. I have loved my years of being a daily Mom but I take great joy and pride seeing them venture off into the adult world.
I am independent in all areas of my life but not by choice, it was out of necessity. I would love to be treated like a lady. I can open my own car door but I'm actually kinda tired of it.

I love animals. Recently I helped two lost chihuahuas find their way home. =) I've also opened my car door on the freeway and had two giant pitbulls jump in my car. I'm even surprised that I did that but they were safe because of it. Luckily they were friendly. lol I've also been a foster home for kittens who needed to get bigger and be socialized before they could be fixed and find homes. They were a lot of work but it was very rewarding.
