I am the youngest of three sons and the first born of, sole-survivor of identical twins. I work for a government agency as a software developer, senior systems administrator, and supervisor of related areas. If I had to sum up my personality with your typical buzz-words, I would say that I am: loyal, generous, sincere, respectful, reliable, dependable, faithful, wise, bright, stable, private, intuitive, easygoing, comfortable to be around, and I get along with just about anyone. I am a good listener and for some reason people tend to seek me out to share their thoughts or concerns. I also feel that if someone has entrusted me with their secrets, I have the responsibility to protect those secrets. I have an enormous amount of patience, especially for things worth waiting for. I typically spend my leisure time on my computer, traveling, attending school, learning new things, dreaming, and reading. I'm pretty shy and not at all talkative at first, somewhat reserved about meeting new people, but once you get to know me I'm very outgoing. I am more comfortable and outgoing around people that I know. I lean towards being the silent observer although I'm getting pulled more out of my shell each day. There is much more to me than initially meets the eye but much of it you may just have to learn by personal experience or from my many intriguing non-verbal cues. The most important thing to remember is to never assume what I’m thinking. What you perceive on the surface is often quite the opposite of reality. I only have a few friends but they are friends for life and I would do just about anything for them. I tend to be a traditionalist. I enjoy stable, predictable environments where I basically know what to expect from others and where I’m not the center of attention. I usually think things out first before acting but have been known to take the spur-of-the-moment road trip other splurge. I would say the people that I work with have been the most influential people in my life because they all believe in me and push me to take that next step. I enjoy some spectator sports like baseball and golf but do not generally participate in them. I was raised non-denominational Christian but I am currently not an overly religious person and only occasionally attend services.
The most important quality that I would like in another person is honesty, even when it’s difficult. Without honesty you can't have trust. Without trust you don't have anything. Honesty is the foundation of all things good. I would be interested in someone who has a sense of what is right and wrong, has strong values and moral beliefs, has an appropriate sense of humor, shares similar values and ideas, can have an inspiring conversation or just sit together in silence, doesn’t pretend to be perfect, focuses on things of substance, is knowledgeable and well-read, and has a variety of interests. I am not looking for a bar/club kind of person, someone who drinks on a regular basis, or someone who smokes.
