While I enjoy spending time with my friends immensely, I tend toward the introvert side of the spectrum, and need some alone-time to recharge. I'm a bit of a homebody these days, so travelling the world is not high on my priority list, though I would like to take a Spanish immersion class and rollick through South America for a few months at some point...
When I do travel, I tend to head into the mountains or canyons for extended trips. Last Fall, I spent 2 weeks hiking in the North Cascades of Washington State with 3 (human) friends and 7 goats (1 pack goat, 2 milkers and 4 kids-in-training). We brought minimal food supplies and spent a lot of our time practicing our hunting and gathering skills (I still need some practice on the hunting!) It was an incredible experience. I have never felt so grateful for every bite of food! Food is sacred, althoug it can be challenging to remain connected to that when you can walk into a big box and wave a piece of plastic and get all the food you want...
I'm a big believer in chemistry. Either you feel it in your gut or you don't. If you don't, then what's the point? If you do, then you have to see if the other relationship bits work out. With that said, I also believe that taking things slow is usually the best route.

I know personally, I don't and I do know exactly what I am looking for...what I do see from my own short online dating experience is that it is so similar to shopping and I think we tend to forget people and feelings, and while I get that attraction is important, you really have to take the time to get to honestly know the person you are most interested in, and give love a fair chance....this is extremely hard to do with so much attention from others and distraction. I get that its fun to have a collection of potentials and new Facebook friends, but isn't the purpose to find a match?
