Meet a soulmate from Arizona, United States. I am easy going with a gentle sense of humor. Youngish in body, mind and soul with daily exercise and right diet. I very much enjoy being in Nature and especially the quiet healing energies of the desert...that's why I live here! My life energies are dedicated mostly to personal growth through service to others, both as a profession and as a volunteer locally. I've been a counselor for many years and work also as a music therapist with special needs youth. Music is an important part of my life and I play several instruments, including guitar for the local Dances of Universal Peace twice a month. My instrument of choice is piano and I love to improvise and play duets.
I live quietly alone on 2 acres in a home I remodeled in Cornville. I have all the practical skills of construction mixed with my more gentle people-skills bag. I enjoy walking in the nearby desert or along the many peaceful streams I have discovered in my 11 years in the Sedona area. I have flowers to tend and occasionally plant a garden (I could use some help on this). I enjoy cooking and washing dishes--don't much like to dust or vacuum-but am neat and organized.
At this age and stage, I am focused on spending good quality time with people of like mind. I love to speak of things that matter and ponder the "big questions". My current passion is "matters of the heart" and I have developed a coaching practice around helping others contact the wisdom of their own heart, using biofeedback and counseling strategies. I read novels as well as non-fiction wellness literature; don't watch TV but subscribe to Netflix and enjoy movies of choice. I'm not a sports buff and don't really know football from soccer. I don't attend churches, but am very comfortable in the energies of the Divine found in Nature and at the core of most religions; I enjoy some of the practices of Buddhism, Hinduism and esoteric Christianity...and I am learning more about Islam (shouldn't we all?)
I love to travel and have been many times to India, my country of choice. I love to walk along the dusty roads, smell the pungent odors of the land and meditate in the ancient stone temples. I've also traveled in Thailand and Sri Lanka, and made many journies to Europe with extended stays in Switzerland, Ireland and Holland teaching and studying music therapy and meditation. I have a passion for Mexico and often drive my old Ford pickup and camper down to park on a deserted beach. Also spent time in Brazil at a fascinating healing center.
