Date men and women from United States / Arizona / Apache Junction, 67 year old

Date a man from Apache Junction, United States. When I lost my wife 6 years ago, I lost my best friend, my companion and my lover of 37 years. My life was a shambles. “Why did this happen to me” Life became a series of distractions and diversions to compensate for my loss. I missed going out for breakfast and being gone for 4 days and all the other silly things we did.
Since life doesn't come with an operators manual or troubleshooting guide, it took me a while to realize that my life had been blessed. I had the love of a wonderful woman for 37 years. I lost my first love but it was not the end of the story but the end of a chapter, a beautiful chapter. It is time to move on.
I retired 3 years ago. I enjoy flying my Allegro airplane on cross country trips. The “Skeeter” and I have been to 48 states and 120 airports. It’s time to have someone in the right seat. I also enjoy camping and playing golf.
I’m not looking for a replacement for my lost love, she’s gone. She will always have a place in my heart but I know she would want me to be happy. I don’t want to be alone anymore. I want to laugh and make other people laugh. I want to find someone who wants to explore, who wants to know what’s on the other side of the mountain, where that road goes, who will order that strange dish with the unpronounceable name just to try it. I want a companion that doesn’t think Spinoza is a rock group. Someone with the strength of character to tell me I’m when I’m wrong out of love and not spite. There is no such thing as a sunset for one. The stars are there to be shared. It takes two to do something silly even though you are full grown, mature, semi-responsible adults.
Being alone means having a "lifestyle" instead of a life.
When you come to the end of a chapter, don't close the book, just turn the page.

Meet someone special from Apache Junction, United States. How does one sum up a life time of accumulated experiences in a few short, witty sentenses? Well here goes - Life has taught me to be curious, to enjoy the moment, the person, the experience. Life has taught me to see the good in people and to make the best of all situations.Life has shown me how to maintain a positive attitude when negativity seems to rule the day. As a result of all these life experiences, I tried to be upbeat, refreshing, unpredictable in a pleasant way.
I enjoy the outdoors and all the activities associated with same. Since I live alone, I'm fairly self-sufficient. I enjoy cooking and photography. I'm no couch-potato - blame that on the A.D.D.. Hiking, kayaking, traveling - these are things I enjoy and do whenever I can. I even have a little dog Coco who shares these adventures with me.
What am I looking for in a companion? Someone who is grounded. Who is secure within herself. Someone who enjoys the simple things life has to offer. Someone who is willing to let a relationship grow and mature at its own pace. Someone who wants good company, and, in turn, is good company. That someone is out there, now all I have to do is find her. (Please include current photo with any communication.)
