Date men and women from United States / Arizona, 39 year old - page 115

Date people from Arizona, United States. I'm 35 years old and have a good, stable job, my own place and my own car. I pay my own bills and like my independence I am looking for a steady bed partner not a one night stand. Im looking for a boyfiend someone to go hang out have some fun,go to the movies, spend time, and get to know each other.

Meet a soulmate from Arizona, United States. Curious. That's probably the best single word to describe me. I love asking questions. Why? Because. Compassionate, smart, kind, goofy, klutzy, tall, artsy...these are all words that have been used to describe me as well. Verbose, crazy, insomniac, good draw-er, insane, zaftig, insanely curious. There are so many adjectives.
I enjoy photography, museums, thinking, thinking out loud, thinking in tandem, chatting with friends, eating pizza, trying to teach my dog how to play fetch. Games are so last year. Except for Scrabble (which I suck at, by the way). And maybe tossing rocks towards ponds.
I completely agree with Einstein that imagination is more important than knowledge.

Date single man from Arizona, United States. About me: I work primarily in securities fraud and renewable energy (meaning I go after bad guys and plan the energy mix of the future). I lived on the ocean and grew up on the beach, in Honolulu, and worked in Washington, DC, for years. I graduated from President Obama’s high school (some trivia there; picture Dead Poets Society in the tropics) and went on to college in Berkeley and Cambridge. I’m increasingly involved in the music world in Arizona and back East (I serve as Chairman of the Board of a nationally-recognized opera company, but fear not; I listen to many types of music). I'm also heavily involved in philanthropic work, in the education arena. Pals say I’m outgoing (and I confirm this) and quick-to-laugh, with a dry, ironic, often irreverent sense of humor. I can also fix nearly anything around the house, including the roof (it's been done). But that's a story for another day.
Anyway, in light of friends' on-line success stories, I thought I’d give this a spin. I value brains, character and a sense of humor, and I enjoy women who are bright, easy-going, cosmopolitan, and kind.
I'm grateful to be at the point in my career in which I have the freedom to spend a good deal of time with family and friends. I appreciate witty and aimless banter and also lingering conversations with friends over dinner, on the issues of the day, and I’m an avid traveler and road-tripper: When I'm not at my cabin in the White Mountains, I'm likely exploring (or attending concerts in) NYC, DC, LA and elsewhere. When I'm in New York, I enjoy nothing more than grabbing a great dinner at Picholine and heading to the Met for the evening.
I also appreciate John Cheever's sensibility, which I'd say is mine, as well: "These stories seem at times to be stories of a long-lost world when the city of New York was still filled with a river light, when you heard Benny Goodman quartets from a radio in the corner stationery store, and when almost everybody wore a hat. Here is the last of that generation...who used to sail for Europe on ships, who were truly nostalgic for love and happiness, and whose gods were as ancient as yours and mine, whoever you are."
To me, this quote evokes the happiness that a life well-lived can entail. Please drop me a line if you agree.
