It took me 40 years to figure out what I really want to be when I grow up, and now I am pursuing my dream of practicing law. I am a dual-degree candidate and will finish my Juris Doctor and Master of Dispute Resolution in 2013. Last summer, I worked in Washington, D.C., which is an amazing city. This summer, I am learning if it is possible to save lives with a law degree.
I am a hopeless romantic, but I know that a relationship takes dedication and commitment, and I am ready to work just as hard at making a relationship work as I am at completing two law degrees.
When I have free time, I love to see live music in small(ish) venues (does anyone want to see a good indie show???), visit museums, read something other than cases, and talk and laugh with friends or family.
I am funny, genuine, and affectionate. I can't sing at all, but I still sing at the top of my lungs all the way to and from school. Right now, my favorite song to ruin seems to be "Nancy From Now On" by Father John Misty, admittedly an odd choice. I wear suits when I get opportunities to play attorney, but, when I am just a student, I am dressed very casually.
I should mention that I am vegan, but I don't think everyone should be. I also haven't owned a tv in 13 years (by choice), but I do have a favorite show (any guesses?), and I would love to be able to watch some hockey. (Really??? The Kings might take the Cup???)
The person I am hoping to find will be kind and compassionate, will laugh often, and will enjoy spending time at home as much as exploring the world and trying new things. What I most want is someone with whom I can be completely myself.
