I have lived in Alaska for many years even before it was a state! I like exploring the small towns and villages of our great nation whether they are in Alaska or some other state. I am goin to retire in the next year and am thinking about becoming a snowbird by spending the summers in Alaska and the winters somewhere south where it is warm. I am recently retired from 33 years of teaching and enjoying my new freedom. I am a widow and have 2 grown daughters. I live in the Palmer area, but come into Anchorage often to visit friends, shop, watch movies, enjoy Anchorage's many fine restaurants, and see my daughter/grandkids. I would like to meet someone who enjoys fine dining, cooking at home, concerts and plays, musicals, movies, bicycling, camping, board and card games. I also like hiking and travel; and love spending time in our beautiful state. I try to work out often, and, at least, get in a tap dancing class each week. I love dancing, especially swing; but I also like waltz, cha-cha, fox trot, latin, etc. As far as dancing goes, I only know some basics, so don't expect perfection- just fun. Have done a little beginner skiing and a favorite pastime is biking on the coastal trail trying to stay up with my more proficient daughter.
