I'm in the Army, and have been globetrotting for the just over sixteen years. So the race to retirement is almost over. I'm currently deployed but will return "soon" to my new (to me) home in Wasilla.
I'm a transplant to AK and still have a ways to go before I get settled in. I grew up in North FL and I'm learning that Mother nature for all her beauty can be an unforgiving teacher.
Some of my quirks that tend to stand out:
- I don't have the typical Army haircut nor do I advertise my work on any of my vehicles.
- Unless its really cold or the occasion calls for different attire I'm usually wearing shorts and sandals.
- I tend to over prepair for an outing, expecting the worst.
- I grew up up in the South and while I don't have the accent per se, I do use ya'll and address women I do not know as Ma'am (regardless of their age).
- I don't own a game console or apple product.

My favorite summer activity is 4 wheeling and getting muddy. I also enjoy being on the river or a lake...as long as it's outside I am pretty much cool with it. My favorite wintertime activity is snowmobiling in fresh powder, boondocking through the trees or riding the mountains. I am a total adrenaline junky! I want to go skydiving someday and would have already but just havent had the time to do it. I am honest, sincere, passionate and kind however, I won't let you walk all over me. I like to think I am smart but have definately made some bad choices in my life (who hasn't). I like all kinds of music except new country and rap. Other than those two, pretty much anything goes. I really enjoy spending time with my kids and family as well as that "special person". I can enjoy just about any activity with my loved ones as long as they are enjoying it or having fun. My "Special Lady" would have similar interests as me, like the outdoors and not be scared to get dirty or muddy, including greasy as I am a mechanic by trade. She is smart, outgoing, caring, level headed and loves kids. She is a woman who knows how to take care of herself and show's it. She is classy but not stuck up or prissy. Someone that can hold an intelligant conversation with others and does'nt talk like a sailor. Nothing is more of a turn off than a loud obnoxious woman that spits profanity every other word. I really would just like to find a woman who likes me for who I am. I will do the same in return. Now that I've elimanated over half of the women in Alaska....Do you think you got what it takes?

Yes that may make me sound like a geek (and I am) but I used to work construction and had to change careers because of a knee surgery. Ok, I am a little bit of a neat freak, that’s not to say that I don’t understand that we all make messes but I don’t understand when people never clean them up. I like to have things in their place, being a little BLOND it is hard for me if my keys can be anywhere in the house or if my partner is always losing her cellphone, not charging it, and so on. I like to have nice things not lots of things. I like to have the important things done first, and need someone to sometimes point out it is ok to have fun before EVERYTHING is done. I know that is one of my short comings, but that is why I think we all need partners that complement us. Don’t get me wrong I like to have fun and do; it is just that if the world is falling apart because fun is more important then I think that is wrong. I need someone that will work with me on life, not each to our own. I have found that when people work together that they succeed and grow ever closer and I want that badly. Hum what else to say, oh ya, if you sleep all day and are still tired then there is something wrong and I cannot handle that. I am a person that if we go somewhere together, we should be doing whatever it is together not running off with others. I think that is the whole point of being together. Now if you’re out with your friends that’s fine with me (and healthy), but I want my fair share of time in the relationship, not the “I’m too tired” routine when we are together.

First of all Im a on a Tugboat Valdez. Its a pretty cool job Ive been doing it for 12 years now. My work schedule is 4 weeks on and 4 weeks off.I do work but the bright side is I have 4 weeks to enjoy at home.
I enjoy many things such as being outdoors around a bonfire with good friends, Camping, fishing and even shooting clay pigeons from time to time.As much as I enjoy the outdoors I also like staying in and cooking dinner with friends and maybe playing games.
