I've been trying to re-write this and I have to say if it wasn't for word I would have run out of paper and ink. I would describe myself as a type B person. I'm quiet and shy till you get to know me. I'm trusting of people and have a kind heart for those who are deserving of it. I grew up in the country on what I'd call a hobby farm and have been called old-fashioned. If I consider you my friend I'd give you the shirt off my back or the coat I'm wearing to keep you warm. I enjoy the outdoors thou being in or on the water is where I feel the most comfortable. I like to travel, but if I have a choice between anywhere and my family, I end up going home to spend time with my family and see my nephews and niece.
I enjoy my job for the most part. Who wouldn't I get to see some of the most beautiful and remote country in Alaska and sometime stand for hours in freezing cold water collecting data. Most of the time now I'm behind a desk looking forward to days when I can go out in the field.
I enjoy the quiet pleasures in life, a nice sunset, a fire on the beach, a symphony and good food. It's ok if you don't cook, I do alright in the kitchen. Food is my only creative outlet, I'm definitely not an artist, thou I can usually get stick people to turn out. An I can sculpt something that looks like Gumby... for those of you that play cranium you know what I'm talking about. I don't drink much and when I do I like to sip and watch the people around me, and enjoy the conversations. On those rainy days a nice walk or a movie and blanket.
I'd like to find someone that enjoys a glass of wine and a campfire. That likes camping as much as a nice hotel. Someone that would be ok with traveling to WI in the winter... I know it's cold, but I'd be willing to go someplace later to warm up. Get up to go for a boat ride to look for whales or go fishing or hop in the water to look at the fish and underwater seascapes. I'm still not comfortable in the water with the whales, yet. The quiet pleasures in life are great, but they are so much better if you have a someone to share them with.
