I work as a merchant marine on oil tankers and occasionally as a sea kayak guide in my off time. I used to work as an art director in the publishing world. I did that for years before I realized I did not like sitting at desks behind computers. And I have helped with a couple of documentaries about kayaking the Inside Passage.
I like to think I don't have predefined ideas of who I want to be with, but the truth is I am looking for somebody who is self sufficient and independent but is all about getting out and doing things together. I have learned to embrace hypocracy, and expect to find it in others. I love a self determined woman who is set in her ways and still gets distracted by something cool or fun.
I am at sea a lot, but then I get lots of time off to travel and work on projects at home. And I am currently finishing school for a maritime license upgrade. I do pretty well on my own, but it would be nice to find somebody to explore with.
