Date people from Ketchikan, United States. Very new to Match.com and a little unsure about what to write here. I am 45 years old. However, I don't feel even close to that age. Except for sore knees, I feel like I am much younger in my heart. I truly enjoy the outdoors. I love to hike and fish. I also like to listen to music and watch movies. My favorite food is pizza and I believe Ward Cove Deli has the best in my little town. I enjoy cooking and I know my way around the kitchen pretty well. Though I find it hard to cook properly for just one person. I also like photography. Currently I only have a little digital camera but I am thinking about investing in a better (more versatile) camera in the months ahead. I frequently like taking a hike or going out in my skiff and looking for great pictures of scenery or animals. I have four amazing and beautiful daughers who live in the lower 48 and unfortunately I don't get to see them very often. I work and have a very decent job, but it requires a lot of hours. I like to spend my free time outside as much as possible. I am not afraid of wind,rain or bad weather! The best book I have read recently is called "The Gargoyle" by Andrew Davidson. It was his first book and he deservedly won several awards for it. If you read it, when you are about 100 pages into it, ask yourself, what is the main character's name? Great book about life, failure, choices, regret, restoration, etc....
I would like to meet someone who is interested in doing things together. Would be great to go for hikes, or fishing. Go out to dinner and a movie in town, or just to cook a really nice meal together while listening to great music. I'm not a big coffee drinker, but I do like coffee shops. I would be happy to go with you or meet you there, however, I will probably have tea.

I own and operate my own gillnet boat during the summer months fishing salmon, (june-sept. my work week is 12 noon sun-12 noon thurs) I sometimes work other fisheries in herring, halibut, salmon,cod,shrimp/crab as a crewman for other skippers on boats or, there are times where i am a skipper of boats other than my own. my occupation keeps me busy and away from home sometimes up to a whole summer to number of days depending on what time of year it is.my "season" traditionlly starts in march and ends usually in october but can sometimes roll into november but lately it has just been the summer months with fall and winter off. there is downtime during the fishing season where i am in town making repairs and preprations for the next fishing week or i stay out on the fishing grounds and jig halibut, fish for crab or shrimp maybe go beachcombing,picnics, or just lounging around enjoying the peacefulness of it all reading,watching movies or playing cards. my occupation takes me to different areas of the state and other states also I have been told I am a good cook having been one for years on the water. I like cooking and shopping for dinner. I even do dishes! Also I have been told I am somewhat of a comedian with my style of humor and antics and can keep you in laughter and smiles. I am looking for someone who likes the outdoors,boating fishing,beachcombing,hanging out on a rainy day...travel partner..the list can go on and on....where to stop...
