I am a very driven person and know what I want out of life....at least I think I do :) Although I strive hard for these things, I also enjoy slowing down and taking things as they come. I hope I can meet someone who is also somewhat goal oriented but likes to take advantage of opportunities as they arise.
Having lived in Alaska most of my life, I have deep appreciation and respect for nature and the environment. as well as the arts. I started my college career thinking I would definitely land a degree in one of the natural sciences or environmental something-or-other. Although I still value these things and respect their importance and not having finished college, I have had some time to get to know myself and my true passions and vocations in life. So, someday I'd like to go back to school....probably Architecture or Interior Architecture.
Having grown up in a rather serious family, I delight in being around those that make me laugh and bring a sense of lightheartedness to life. ...someone who knows how to and enjoys getting out, loosening up and having fun! I would like to find a partner with whom I can talk to about serious things but also one with whom I can laugh and who brings joy into my life.
On the side of my full time job, which I hope to ditch in a few years to do better things with my life like maybe finishing college, traveling and seeing the world, play in the outdoors, start a family...I have a jewelry business that I am keeping up with. It is the vocation I am most passionate about in life and am working towards the day...which is not too far away (~3 yrs.), when I am vested with the State, have debt payed off and will have a clean slate to scratch out a new action plan and hopefully have more time to do more of the things I enjoy and am truly passionate about...which could be any or some of, all of the above.
I am an introvert who enjoys cooking and trying new foods and recipes. I also like having company over once in a while for dinner and/or games. I enjoy doing things out in the community, like going to concerts/performing arts events, movies once in a while. I also enjoy going out for hikes and going for over-nights at cabins on the weekends in the summer (and sometimes fall). I am looking for a partner who enjoys doing these sorts of things.
I do yoga weekly and I am a runner. I don't associate myself with any real organized religion (I don't really believe in them) but I do aspire to Buddhism and that view point/belief about life and the human spirit. I meditate (not as regularly as I should, but...) and find solace and balance (along with a couple other things...) when I practice it. I believe meditation is a great educator to how our minds work and that it brings wisdom to our own humble, human spirits when practiced. This along with other things is part of my effort towards living a conscientious and healthy life style. I am open to those with other religious beliefs as long they are to mine.
Politically I vote primarily liberal although I will take all things into consideration when it comes to voting for the right person.
Someday I want to get out and see more of the world. I did a little bit of international travel in my first round of college days and I want to get out do some more. I hope I can find a partner that would like to do the same!
Meet people from United States. Cuddly, kind, laid-back, and potty-trained. This is how I'd describe my pug, but it describes me well too. As for other traits, my pug and I differ quite a bit. He's more in-doorsie where I'm more out-doorsie. I like hanging out on the beach, mountain biking, and occasionally exploring the jeep trails, and he's perfectly fine staying home and watching animal planet. Having said that though, I too like to sometimes just hang out in-doors, relax, and watch a movie or two.
