Meet people from Bethel, United States. I Live and work in Bethel, Alaska for the last 4 yrs. Great Yupik people (Alaska Native) town. I am the Planning Director for the City of Bethel which is also the regional hub of Lower Yukon-Kuskokwim Delta Region with the only access to Bethel in by boat or plane. Its in the southwestern Area of Alaska.
As a person I like to think of myself as confident but not overly. I'm a very down to earth type of guy. I understand that there's a time to give and be loving and understanding. I also believe in standing up for what I believe and not being walked on. I'm always there for my friends and loved ones. I don't run from adversity. Professionalism: As I've already stated, I'm Planning Director for the City of Bethel, Alaska. I'm multi-talented city planner in all areas of planning. . I'm very passionate about great planning in rural/small communities. I am hoping to do some consulting this year in the midwest and central plains states (Love Iowa & Kansas small town lifestyles)
GOALS: Here I am all new to online dating. I finished grad school in 1999 and since then I've spent little time meeting new people since my divorce in 2004. In fact, if you don't work in government and aren't interested in city planning, then there's no way I would've met you before now.
Needless to say, my job has sort of overtaken my life and now it's time to step back and try again on dating. First stop is Match.com. Several of my friends and Alumni from Kansas State University (I Bleed Purple) said match.com is the place to first start in finding women who are up front with their profiles.
I'd be lying if I said I didn't want a relationship, I do. But I'm not about to just jump into one. I'm much more interested in meeting someone for a fun date and seeing where that takes us. I don't make decisions on the run at work and there's no way I'll jump into a relationship either. For now, I'm interested in going out, having fun, and getting to know someone who will respect my job and enjoys life.
