I am seeking someone with whom I can just be myself. I suppose the ideal situation would be that we accept each other for exactly who we are.. We all have areas in our lives upon which we can improve and I am all about doing that...but the very core of who I am as a person is pretty much set at this point and it is for you as well. My ideal match would be someone who enjoys a variety of things and has an open mind towards exploring new things. My preferred "match" is a gentleman who is gainfully employed (lol!), stable, self confident and who is also interested in finding someone special. I enjoy a great sense of humor, a positive attitude, and love the art of a good conversation. I prefer to deal with conflict head on, and then move on. I also believe it's perfectly fine to agree to disagree. Compromise is one of my favorite words :-)
While I believe it's important to be physically attracted to someone (sparks are good!), I also believe you have to share common values, goals, and interests....I am not looking to rush into a relationship with anyone, but would prefer to get to know you as a friend, spend time together and see where it leads! It has been my experience that the best relationships are those that are based on mutual trust and respect and that can only come from getting to know someone beyond just a physical level.
In summary, I guess I am searching for what we all want...my best friend, lover and confidant. My desire is not to be a serial dater but to find someone with whom I can develop a meaningful relationship. I prefer to be a monogamous person. Besides, I find it incredibly challenging to keep up multiple conversations.....don't you? (unless you are keeping great notes!) I mean, how embarassing is it to realize that what you are talking to one person about is a topic that was discussed with an entirely different person...LOL! No thanks! Quite frankly, I am more than ready to get off this dating site and start dating :-)
