I am a 63 (but most people guess 8-10 years younger) guy who grew up in a small town, came from a good and happy family, is optimistic, hard working, enjoys family, friends, work and play. I am blessed in many ways, but particularly with two beautiful daughters whom I am very proud of. Being a Dad has been a wonderful experience for me. It has made me a better person.
What kind of person am I? My friends would probably call me a gentleman (must be the Virginia upbringing) and yes, I do open doors for women, if they allow me to do so. I am happy and thankful. Although I am outgoing and love the social setting of meeting new people, I really value deep, long term friendships the most. I am very loyal. I love to be around people that share in real honest-to-goodness fun and laughter. I am a seeker of wisdom. I believe that character, integrity, honesty and humbleness are virtues that we should all subscribe to. Although education and knowledge are very important to me, I place equal value on good common sense. I love history; “those that do not learn from history are doomed to repeat it”. My friends are real people, not pretentious or artificial. My glass is half full in the bad times and runs over in good times. Traditionally, I think more than I feel (but am working hard to makes these equal) and am intuitive and outgoing. With me, what you see is what you get. I try to lead a balanced, fulfilling and fun life. I am a strong person who loves adventure.
I manage large construction projects for a world wide company and am currently located in Anchorage and managing a large Alaskan project, travel to CA on a regular basis and back to Seattle a few times each month. I like to think outside the box, figure out how to do complex and challenging things and craft win/win strategies in business and life. I have enjoyed serving as director on two non-profit boards. In the future, I look forward to more service opportunities, to learning new things and much more travel.
