Meet men and women from Alaska, United States. Am a simple, kind, nice, tender, charming, sociable, intelligent, tolerant, hospitable, coquette, cheerful, with a good sense of humour, sincere, optimist, pin-up, intuitive, serious, modest, tactful, responsible and easy going man.

Date a soulmate from Alaska, United States. Can you relate? Does your heart start to race at the thought of the night? Do you wonder what it would be like to be up in front of a crowd… bright lights… people singing along… everyone having a great time? But at the same time… do you wrestle with the question of… how do I do that now?
Well… I do.
You know… how do you go after a dream like that… when you're not… well… when you're not 20 anymore?

Meet someone special from Alaska, United States. I'm a mixture of paradoxes: I'm a computer programmer who works with reindeer, I'm a couch potato who loves movies, yet plays hockey and once in a blue moon runs the marathon(hopefully my 3rd full equinox this year). Shy and quiet, yet sometimes overly chatty and prone to social faux pas. Intelligent and educated, yet live simple uncomplicated life. I have strong conservative values and believe in a higher power, yet don't attend a church. I have high regards and respect for those that do attend services.
I have a way with innuendo and rhymes, although that talent has not been exercised for some time: It generally takes someone special (good or bad) to bring out my creative insanity. I haven't posted a pic on Match, but if you do a bit of detective work, you can find me on a certain U of Alaska website dealing with reindeer.
I'm looking for someone who is fairly independent & maintains a reasonably healthy lifestyle. Hopefully she hikes, bikes, runs, skates, skiis, likes hockey, berry picking, fishing, camping: Not necessarily all of the above, or to any extremes. She should also like movies, dinners out and movies and dinners in: I host a movie night for friends from time to time since I have a pretty decent home theater set up. Hopefully she can carry on a conversation with me, argue from time to time when we disagree, but also be able to agree to just disagree on things we have strong opposing views on.
If you think you want to know more, you know the drill.

Date people from United States. I am a long time Alaskan, although I was born in Texas, but I was smart enough at 10 months to know to get out : ). I love living in Alaska and all it has to offer, but I also love to get out to warmer weather 3-4 times a year. If I am not in Scottsdale pretending to be a golfer I love going to Mexico and hanging by the pool. I have started a small bucket list that includes a few other more tropical places. Bali, Australia, Philippines, and Rio are now on my must do lists.
I work at Prudhoe Bay...yes Oil Field trash but hopefully you will not hold that against me. I have been doing this type of work for 20 plus years, but now I have recently taken an assignment working in Anchorage, which I swore I never would do. I am about to become one of the Monday thru Friday 8-5 people. Hopefully people will see the cultural shock on my face and go easy on me. I love my current position, but it is time for a change and I am looking forward to the opportunities being home every night will bring. I hope the lifestyle change will benefit my efforts here on Match.com as well..
I am still optimistic that I will find that someone special that I can’t wait to see when I get off of work and am thankful she is there when I go to work in the morning. I am at a stage in my life where I have all the resources, lots of time and no one to share them with. This seems to be a common theme for us middle aged people, opps did I say middle aged!
I love all things sports, baseball, and basketball hockey…watching, playing or wagering it is all good. I am not obsessed with sports like I once was, but would rather watch a game than watch dancing with the stars. I have somewhat outgrown hunting and fishing, although I like to catch fish. There is a big difference between fishing and catching…I prefer catching., I work out 4-7 times a week, I have been running allot more of late and really enjoy how my body feels when done with a good hard run.
I love to snowmachines, although I do not own any at this point in my life. I am always looking to get back into it. I always say “snowmobiling is the most fun you can have with your clothes on”.
I have two beautiful, talented and very intellectual daughters. My oldest just graduated and is starting her teaching profession here in Anchorage. My youngest is in hot pursuit of her degree as well and works at one of the finest retail stores in town…major bonus for me. They are getting close to being off the payroll, which is the ultimate goal…right!!!
I am looking for someone that can be open, honest and a good communicator, someone who appreciates a good baseball game or just hanging out on the deck drinking margaritas. She must be challenging and willing to force me out of my comfort zone and expose me to some culture which I am seriously deficient. Kids are good or no kids are good. I have my two and it would be selfish of me to not like someone because they have children. In turn they would need to be appreciative and understanding of my daughters.
Wow I still have over 850 characters to use but I do not want to take away all of the mystery, now do I?

Date a soulmate from United States. About me:
Overall, my lifestyle might be described as environmental-bohemian-intellectual. Most of my adult life was spent in Western Europe, excluding the past three in North America. My preferred means of transportation is a bicycle (of course I also have a roadworthy car).
As a university person, my hours are irregular but are generally around 50 hours per week, plus some time working from home. I like people, however circumstances don't always leave lots of time to meet others. Thinking and fitness are both important to me (see appropriate profile blurbs). I don't watch TV, and instead read science fiction novels, professional journals, and newspapers and spend too much time on the Internet. I’m a Germanophile, and speak it almost fluently. See the blurb on musical tastes. In conversation, I am a reasonably good listener. I’m divorced and have a young son living in Western Europe. Those circumstances of course are important to consider for holidays.
I read a lot of profiles here about the 'active Alaskan lifestyle': hiking, camping, quadding, fishing, kayaking.....ah whoa. I could imagine fishing and have enjoyed hiking in the past. Kayaking? possibly. But driving around on a quad? I'd probably crash the thing in under 10 minutes. I moved to Alaska for a really great job at UAF, as opposed to seeking adventures or running away from something. Also moved here since I enjoy cold weather biking.
What sort of lady am I looking for?
University stuff is not a 'must' but anyone who is thinking about contacting me because of physical attraction should please read the final paragraph… Children previous relationships are OK, smaller rather than larger.. But, this does also not exclude helping someone else with hers, or accepting the children that are in a partner's life. Culture for me means concerts, plays museums and a pub every so often. I will watch TV with you, but alone not really. Getting away for a hike or bike ride to a beach, forest or mountain with someone special would be fun. Read my blurbs…
A woman who is capable of intense conversation is great, however it does not always have to be that way with me. One who can distract and awaken me with her life-beat from the skullduggery of everyday is a definite asset. The physical stuff: I'm visually drawn to women who, like me, are serious about staying fit.
Many of the details that I have written require the reader to “fill in the gaps” on what this would mean in knowing me. After you have done so, and still are interested, then I’d be glad to hear from you. Otherwise, good luck in whatever you are seeking in a partner!

Meet someone special from United States. I recently returned to Soldotna and although I love my profession and the new opportunity before me there is more to life than work. I am looking for someone to explore and experience Alaska and possibly the outside world with me.
Those who know me use words such as: integrity, honest, and loyal to describe me. I am often looking for new experiences, and work has shown that there are few rights and wrongs in the world but a wide palate of different points of views. I try to accept people and events for what they are and try not to be judgmental.
Writing about oneself is truly as hard as others have noted on this site. I am looking to meet and make a few friends, hopefully one of them can become longterm. If you are looking for someone who is a completed painting lacking only a few accents to be finished then I am probably not for you as although the foundation is sound I am a work in progress seeking to experience and enjoy this life and world around us.
